- There are many students in the B. Tech program, The student intake is very high.
- The college was established in 2023 so there aren't any sports facilities.
- Not much opportunities available because of the college location (Too far from the main city, its sort of isolated from cities)
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it has good concepts of computer science and engineering, which im interested in. i think the curriculum can help me for real world applications because the syllabus includes the topic that is needed in the current corporate market. The first year curriculum is not really that relevant to the program it has less subjects regarding computer science itself. The teaching method is good.
Placement Experience
From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements Avg. placement package is 8 LPA Highest placement package is 60 LPA Since the college is a branch of PCET and the college was established in 2023 there hasnt been any placements conducted yet in Pimpri Chinchwad University.
Fees and Financial Aid
application form fees is 800/-. admission fees is 10,000/-. admission fees is NOT refundable. 2,10,000/- is the yearly tuition fees for general, the fees for the complete program is 8,00,000/- for general.
Campus Life
There are festivals being held. The university also conducts activities such as yoga and etc. Library is accessible to everyone Sports and extracurricular activities isnt really available yet especially for B. Tech first year students. Clubs are not yet formed but they are saying it will be formed from second year.
Hostel Facilities
There are Four Hostels Collina, Tulip, Buona Vita (Boys Hostel) (Off-Campus) PCU Girls Hostel (In-Campus) Since im from Buona Vita i can tell you about my experience in this hostel - The food quality is decent - Accomodation is poor - There are frequent power cuts - We don't get warm water at all also the fact that the location is set in a cold place so student's are at risk of getting sick. - The hostel has only one washing machine and one dryer which makes the queue very long. - The management is very poor - They don't listen to complaints raised by students - Bad gym (even though they say that they have gym), The equipments are broken and the gym is not cleaned or even maintained. - The hostel has nothing regarding activities, The game room isnt made yet, There is no proper ground to play sports in and etc.
Admission
i applied for D.Y Patil International University, but the fees was too high compared to Pimpri Chinchwad University, I did not get a rejection letter from any college i simply joined this college because of the curriculum, location, placements and fees. To get an admission in Pimpri Chinchwad University you need to have atleast 45% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) in your Senior Secondary Class. They accept JEE-MAINS, MHT-CET and ICSE, CBSE Board Exams.
Faculty
The faculties are very easily approachable, You are allowed to reach them by going to the admin office, There is no restriction and they are very cooperative. The receptionist since she really listens to your request and tries to help you getting what you want, Also the ERP manager listened to me regarding my first year internship instead of denying my request for getting a university mail id. There are 8 semesters There are 2 unit tests of 20 marks in each semester they will take out the average out of these 2 unit tests and they will add it to the internal marks. and there will be final exams in each semester.
