Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is prepare from the students point of view, and slightly changed accordingly. There is a skill based course in our curriculum to bulid our extra skills to compete with others. we were taught about automobiles, weldings, mechines in the workshop and various softwares under the skill based course.
Internships Opportunities
The college has gives us opportunity to work as an intern in various fields. At the end of second semster we have to do Social Ineternship. At the end of fourth semster we have to do Academic Internship. Later this the college reffers us for the industrial internship to the Railways, OIL, ONGC etc. All the reports of this internship reports we have to submit aftre complation for the evaluation.
Placement Experience
Placements from our college is good. Every year students placed in various companies like PSUs, Banks and many more with a average package of 8 lakhs per annum to 10 lakh per annum. In the year 2017 to 2021 there is a mass number of students placed from our college with great packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a student of Mechanical Engineering Department of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology of Dibrugarh University. Our Admission fee is Rs. 10,745/= and the course fee is 50,000 i.e. Rs. 60,745/= for the 1st semester. for the second semester there is no admission fee, we have to paid for the course fee only which is Rs. 50,000/=. For 3rd semester there again we have to pay the admission fee (Rs. 10,745/=) along with course fee (Rs. 50,000/=) , i.e. the total we have to pay Rs. 60,745/=. From the 4th semster the course fee reduce to Rs. 40,000/=, again in 5th semester there again we have to pay the admission fee (Rs. 10,745/=) and course fee (Rs. 40,000/=), total of Rs. 50,745/=. In the 6th semster we have to pay only the admission fee i.e. Rs. 40,000/= , again in 7th semster the admission fee is included, the total fee we have to pay in 7th semester is Rs. 50,745/=, and in 8th semester only course fee Rs. 40,000/= have to pay. Government scolaships offerd.
Campus Life
There are many clubs and societies in our college. There is club named Google Developer Stdents Club (GDSC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Sanganak Coding Club, Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Federation of Indian Petroleum Industries (FIPI) etc.
Admission
I take admission to this college because according to pass out students this is the 3rd state level engineering institute in our state. Also the placements from our institute are also well. Every year there are many PSUs and other companies come for the campus interview. So, I took admission to this college. There is a offline counselling held in the univesity basis of the CEE and JEE marks. For the Masters courses students have to appear in an entrance test counduct by the institute itself.
Faculty
The faculty membars are much supportive and helpful. They give much efforts to teach us. They try to bulid our foundation strong and effective. The course contains from the basics of the engineering to the top level accoring to AICTE. Exams are regularly conducted in a strict manner. There is two examinations in a semseter. One is the sessional examination and it contains 30 marks, and the end semster exam which contain 70 marks. Along with this there is a marks from the attandence and from the assignments. The pass marks in the sessional examination is 12 and in the end semester examination is 28.
