The management is generally good. The admin is super helpful and the teachers very approachable. Nothing to complain about.

The course curriculum is very relevant. The subjects and the material in each course are designed to make you ready for a professional environment. They focus heavily on the application of most theories, which is a refreshing deviation from the way academic institutes usually teach economics. They also stress on data and programming skills, which, again is unique for an econ/finance diploma program

Placement is pretty good providing you put in the effort to get placed. There are plenty of opportunities in the financial services, public policy, economic research and data science industries. I interned at strategy consulting in Deloitte and then got placed as a behavioral researcher at Morningstar India

There are frequent speaker series in which corporate leaders of fields like consulting, macroeconomics and data analytics come speak to the students about a) the nature of the work they do b) upcoming ideas in the industry c) applications of their course material in the real world

I think the general overall fee for the diploma program is around 6.5 lakhs. There are scholarship opportunities (50% and 30%) available, as well as a discount for people who register early. I availed of both of those and ended up paying around 3.5 lakhs.

There's a 3 round process for receiving the scholarship (once you've been shortlisted for it through the interview rounds)

MDAE is located in the world trade center in cuffe parade, the campus isn't too big, but it has a beautiful view. The common room has a bunch of board games, which is pretty cool. MDAE has a very well stocked library with some really interesting books. The gender ratio is pretty even, maybe a couple more women than men.

MDAE stresses on building an alumni network and encourages current students to reach out to seniors. They're very helpful.

The college has an admission test which they administer themselves. Once you get through that, there's a personal interview with a panel that usually comprises of a member of the faculty and one corporate board member. The admission test takes place in several rounds and usually runs through the last quarter of the year.

Most of the faculty is very good and are accomplished members in the field they're teaching. Still, the course being relatively new, I think could use some more work in the selection/training of teachers in the electives courses. Other than that, the faculty is very approachable, and encourage discussion inside and outside of classes.
