- College aspects which i like is it's very beautiful campus but ln other hand development fees is too high
- I am at good positions in societies which has for sure given me confidence with social interactions.
- Faculty here are good and qualified but way to orthodox so you've to study yourself to get what taught
Dislikes
- Placements are provided but it's under beauty quota not based on skills
- The course curriculum is i feel not making me feel that it has worth in my life.
- Infrastructure is very good but is not long term. The hostel are full of moisture and sometimes water falls from ceiling
Course Curriculum Overview
I was the neet aspirant and couldn't find alternative to mbbs better than Biotechnology. I personally due to society interactions is able to get real life experiences but i felt that medical field is not for me.
Placement Experience
From third semester, students get eligible for campus placements. We have here apple microsoft amazon as well and they do make offers too and get kids from here. Average package is 12 to 14 lpa and last year highest package was 1.25 cr per annum. 80 percent students gets placed. I am into marketing and finance so i would do mba in one of those
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees is around 145000 and the Registration fees is around 15000 also Admission fees is around 10,000 with added Development fees is 55000. Additional charges may apply if you are likely to stay in hostel.
Campus Life
Annual one big festival along with small festivals are there time to time. It's September October whereas each society have there events time to time. Ac hostels and classes are all around campus with smart board as well. Sports activities are also competitive with other colleges coming and our students going aswell. Students run social groups provide information about the corporative life before hand and provide overall development.
Admission
Thapar University is a very big name. I not applied to another college because Thapar was a good name. You can enter through board exams as well as jee mains and neet too for biotechnology and biomedical science field. Cutoff is different for different branch but entering the college is easy task
Faculty
We have got very less faculty per students. Each teachers are even teaching two to three subjects which shows shortage of faculty in the college. The exams are easy. If we study a week before it's easy to maintain cg. But i personally don't find the course curriculum relevant.
