Course Curriculum Overview

The course which I have taken ( computer science and engineering) is a very decent course to be honest. Faculty is top notch and we get all the study materials within the first semester itself and the course is of total 4 years.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many internships opportunities are provided by different startup companies and TCS.too. like the programming in python ieee and many more. Internships are regular with online and offline mode respectively.

Placement Experience

Placements are very good. We have companies coming for placement like Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, cognizant, TCS and many more. Recruiting students at a large scale is obvious and the person who is intelligent enough can also get a high level of package.

Fees and Financial Aid

For computer science and engineering the fees will be around 200000 at the starting including the university fees and lab fees and it also includes additional fees like the security deposit of 10000 which will be received after the completion of the course.

Campus Life

The college atmosphere and environment is top notch. Very peaceful and calm. All facilities are provided along with sports which also helps us to build our co-curriculum activities and makes us a complete all rounder.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is pretty decent. Food is not that tasty but decent enough to eat. The mess bill is kind of splited among students which come upto 3500 per month. Non veg and veg both options are available.

Hostel Fee: INR 3700 per year

Admission

Well the atmosphere and the environment here made me stay here and took the admission. Well comparing to other colleges, its very peaceful and calm. People are always good to you no matter what and many other reasons as well.

Faculty

You have in total 56 papers to clear within 4 years. With 3 internals in each semester and seperate marks for assignment and attendance too. You must get 40 marks in university exams to pass out of which 25 marks are from the internals, assignments and so on.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

I had applied for this course in several colleges in banglore and other places. The reason which hold me here is the course affordability and good infrastructure provided by this college. This college offers BTech artificial intelligence and Data Science at the rate of 98500 per year as tution fees while other colleges offer this same course around 200000 tution fee per year which is a better reason for studying this college. The college also provide scholarships for students on the basis of their plus two marks and keam ranks which will cover their entire tuition fee which helps the students to study in a cost effective way and also increase the quality of education.
