- Professors are really helpful. They take time to understand the topic. If you don't get it they repeatedly try to understand you.
- They are conscious about practicals and all.
- They also help for future goals and all. Whst do you want and what's your problems in your daily life you can say them and they help properly.
Dislikes
- They don't take practical exam but they took viva for practical.
- For 2nd semester there has no practical paper.
Course Curriculum Overview
Per semester should be happen for 6 months. Practicals should be done hands on by individual students. But im really happy to get a chance to pursue the course here. I gain some practical knowledges and cleared some small problems. I cleared all my doubts properly.
Fees and Financial Aid
For admission in m.sc in life science and biotechnology, i paid 2160 as admission fee and then i paid 150 for 2 times as exam fee. There's no other amount to pay. And same for 2md year also. It's applicable for all castes! And if you have a good score in graduation you'll get swami vivekananda scholarship which gives you 30000 per annum and the university also gave a scholarship for economically weaker section!
Campus Life
The famous program SANSKRIT happens in every year for both campus. Many outsider people came for this program. There's no restrictions for entry. There has art club singing club chess club dance club badminton club table tennis club separately and cricket team football team. There happens some road side drama near green zone. There has completions with other departments. As a JUIAN student im really lucky. Library is too big.
Admission
I applied calcutta university, vidyasagar burdwan and others so many central university. But i wanted to get admission here. I heard the reputation of university. The department is really good. And jadavpur's rank is almost within best 5. As a belonging from low middle class family, it is helpful for me. In other college for biotechnology course it may 2 or 2.5 lakhs for 2 years but here it take 4400 only.
Faculty
Faculty members are really good. They always help us for any ups and downs. They want to hear our problems and give solutions for these properly. They teach us carefully. They solve all doubts. There has 10 to 12 professors and 30 students per batch. They took internal assessment and final semester and mark distribution occurs by sgpa system and there's also present the percentage also.
Interview Experience
Yesss they took a written test on biology of bachelor's and 10+2 chemistry and 12th based physics and maths. Each correct answer gave +2 and each wrong answer gave -0.5 . Within 7 days they gave a selection list.
