Placements are improving year to year with an average of nearly 12 lakh the placements are decent here, more than 300 companies visit the campus including Google, Amazon, McKinsey, JP Morgan and many other big names. Most of the students gets placed. Highest goes upto 1 cr . Many students also opt for MBA program after completing their btech degree

Campus Life is great here. You get access to everything you need also the city life of patiala is great. Navanalanda library is also really great. You would find nearly all the books you require and easily get them issued. Regular events are held here you won't find boring life in thapar. Nearly on every occasion there are events. Specially for the first year they keep a frosh month full of activities and events

The hostels here are the best weather it is the rooms or the mess. You won't find any dissatisfaction. The rooms are quite big, well furnished, with AC. Regular cleaning, laundry services are also provided free of cost

I applied in BITS pilani and was getting a dual degree course there but I preferred thapar over bits pilani due to the fact that it has great infrastructure, was near to my home, and also has a great reputation. Furthermore I was getting directly my desired branch computer science and engineering here unlike in bits I had to opt for MSC in maths + btech in CSE which was also a bit difficult. The admission Process is quite simple just need to register on their website, do choice filling and just wait for the results

In thapar the student to faculty ratio is nearly 33:1 The faculty is great here they have a great experience and teach well unlike other engineering colleges. We have teachers from IISc banglore, IIT roorkee and many more. The curriculum here gets regularly updated according to the industry needs and so is the best part about it which helps the students in their future. The exams here are the MSTs and ESTs. Due to relative grading the competition is high getting good CGPA requires great hardwork.

No at present being in the first year I didn't have any GD or interview but thapar organised special bootcamps for the first year students to make them prepare in early for their placements where we were taught everything.
