I was interested in circuital branches so I chose the course of Instrumentation Engineering. The curriculum of the department organises different extra courses for practical knowledge which will help the student for knowledge in the Industry. The areas of improvement are modern technologies and automation systems that need to be included in the course. The difficulty level of the exams are moderate and one can easily score good if they work hard a little bit.

The college provides interships in Remote as well as in foreign.Many students every year are sent to The USA for internships. A month back a company called bis provided government internship under the ISOI chapter .The stipend was 20000/-. The projects were based on IOT ,ML etc like iot based household automation system.detection of bacterial and fungal materials through tds sensors etc

The students are eligible for placements from 7th semester.The companies that visits the college are cognizant,TCS,Grand Thornston,Haldia Petrochemicals WIPRO, MICROSOFT , Accenture etc The highest package offered last year was 13 lakh and average package was 5-7 lakhs. About 85% of the students got placed last year.

The total fees for the college for BTech degree is 3.93 lakhs .The year wise the fee is 88200 for the first year,90400 for the second 92600 for the third year and 94800 for the fourth year . But the fee has increased significantly to 5.63 lakhs from the batch 2023-2027 and for the lateral entry of 2026 batch. Caution fees taken at the time of admission is 10000/- and development fees ,lab fees etc where 12000/-.The reservation criteria only applies for the local students of of West Bengal. Also there if TFW(tuition fee waiver) system for the economically week students for the local students. The locals of West Bengal students gets scholarship named Swami Vivekanand Scholarship

Generally in March-April the inter departmental sports tournament happens every year in the college.In December inter college hackathon happens.In September inter college events of clubs like dance singing drama etc happens every year.The inter college sports meet happens in January every year. The books that one need for the semester or competitive exam preparation is found in library.The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors and AC. To impact on social and personal lives of people college has clubs such as NSS and ROTARACT.

I chose the college over BIT SINDRI because I got the preferred branch in Heritage Institute Of Technology.Also heritage is located in urban place while bit located in rural place.Here in Kolkata one can develop his/ her personality at its best. I didn't got rejection in college,I just removed my counselling. If someone wants to join Heritage Institute Of Technology then they must give WBJEE exam and participate in counselling which occurs in 3 rounds

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:60 .The faculties are good and students can communicate with them about anything.They clear doubts and provide guidance for future also. The exam pattern for the classes are 3 surprise class tests,a mid sem,and the semester exam.The class tests are or 10 marks each and mid sem of 20 marks.The semester exam is of 60 marks and 40 marks internal. Almost all the students clear the exams every semester.The course curriculum is best as it clears the attendance issue as due to suprise tests and the curriculum makes sure that the students learn.
