- Long lecture hours , 9:30am to 4:30pm is making day scholars very exhausted . they need to travel 2-3 hours to reach their home .
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum should prepare students for actual roles or further studies in their field . It should provide practical classes equal to theory classes . 3/5 can be rated for the current curriculum of ECE
Internships Opportunities
internships provided by college itself is less . Students can enroll in internships provided by other institutions on their own or with help of their faculties . Faculties inform us about various internships providing by companies .
Placement Experience
From third year of the college students are eligible for campus placements . Many students are placed to various companies through campus placement . Students placed through campus earn upto 35000 per month .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the course (electronics and communication engineering) is 35000/- . This has to be paid in every year of 4years course . Along with this an additional amount of around 7000 should be paid . Special fee 4000 Student activity fee 1000 Placement fee 500 University arts and sports fee 530 CAPE Tech fest fee 500 Total 41530/- should be paid by a merit seat student Fees vary for management seat students (71530/-) , SC/ST/OEC (6530/-) , NRI (106530/-) and non-KEAM (71530/- for ECE and 51530/- for EEE, ME , CE ) students . Scholarships are also available for students like MCM , E-grandz etc . Students receive scholarship amount every year ; 17000/- for E-grandz and 25000/- for MCM scholarships
Campus Life
Technical festivals , arts , sports , and all kind of celebrations are well held in this college . Without interrupting or disturbing lecture hours all kinds of celebrions are done . If we miss more classes due to arts or others , lecturers make sure they make up the missed classes . Library provide vast varieties of books that can access for free Sports are well held . Both boys and girls are participating in all kinds of sports . There are many student-run clubs , groups , startup's in this college .
Admission
College of engineering thalassery is best engineering college i can find in my place . I didn't tried for any other colleges . The admission process is simple and there will be college union members and faculties to help while taking admission. The walk along with us for any help .
Faculty
Majority of faculties are approachable and friendly with students and yet there are some whom students can't even ask for anything. Except a few faculties the rest are amazing on their own ways and their teaching styles are wonderful . There will be 2 series exams , and the average marks scored in these 2 exams are considered for internal marks along with the marks of attendance and assignments . Improvement exams are provided for students who failed to meet the minimum internal marks . These series exams are mostly previous year questions and scoring in these exams are not that difficult. Only 2 modules will be for series exams and full modules for improvement exam.
