Remarks

Positive point is the placement and teaching part along with a huge infrastructure. Negative point is that you need to adjust to all the things around you. Unless you adjust here you won't enjoy a lot

Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is one of the best course with a good faculty who is ready to solve all your problems. KIIT works hard to make you a better person morally as well as socially. CSE branch is the most favorable one here. You get to learn about new technologies and tools if are willing to express your desire to work hard.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do provide internship , and mostly stipend varies mostly from 5K to 20K depending upon the type of project you can do. They have tie ups with companies like Accenture , Amazon etc which visits here to give you internship along PPO.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are really great specially if you are from CSE branch. You have to be fully focused and relay on materials provided by the University and surely you will get placed easily. University has a CAAS department for students where they can learn various things which they lag inorder to get placed .

College Events

4

KIIT fest is one the biggest even in the University . KIIT MUN is the biggest MUN in the eastern zone which is organised by KIIT Apart from all this there are various fests and societies where students can gather and enjoy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee varies yearly My annual fee is about 3.2 lacs per year. Mess charges are around 30K per year Hostel charges are around 70K peryear which is included in the annual fee. Fee in KIIT is cheap compared to other universities

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are given to those who get a very good rank in kiitee. I have not availed any scholarship till now so I don't know much about it but if you get a rank under 100 you are eligible for a scholarship from KIIT University

Campus Life

4

Labs are well equipped with latest software and hardware. You have a staff to monitor the quality of every devices and other things of the lab. For sports enthusiasts there are a lots of ground inside the campus to play various games. Student activity centre is built to encourage students to take part in various event around the region.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are okayish. I don't like living hostel because obviously they are not comfortable as home. But they tend to provide great deal of service like immediate medical service cabs are provided for free. You get mess in every hostels. Hostels are located near the campus so you can easily visit campus

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. They make you understand the working of KIIT and even give you your if the University when you visit here. They give an overview of do's and don'ts. And since it's ragging free campus people are really friendly and helpful.

Exam Structure

KIIT follows credit system and you have to give like 8 semesters inorder to graduate here. Exams are easy to crack if you have paid attention in class. They mainly try to improve you practical knowledge and understanding of the subject .

Admission

I gave an entrance test called KIITEE. After the test you have to wait for the ranklist which will be announced in beginning of June and then you are called by the University depending upon your rank. You have to be present on the respect date with some amount specified by the University which will be for blocking the seat and if you decide not join then the amount is refunded back after 10K deduction. Once you block the seat and select your branch , you don't have to do anything and just wait for the college to start in month of July

Faculty

4

Faculty is great. They are supportive at all the time and makes you feel comfortable. They give best efforts to make you see your mistakes and give time to rectify them. They response to your doubts. Still at times you need to refer some other study sites for better understanding.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
