I aspire to work in a hardware industry and have a tremendous love for physics and mathematics and for this sole reason,I chose my course. The future is bright for electronics and communication engineers especial since India is launching new semiconductor industries.

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has one of the best infrastructures in Kerala with a calm and peaceful environment. You don't get here as much freedom you get in government colleges but it's not that bad. The staff gives you special attention and are very determined and hardworking. Hostel fee :24000, sem fee is normally 37500 but last sem we paid 51800. Caution fee:10000

Campus Life

The college has an annual event called Azure. We have azure day 1 where we have car show games etc Azure day 2 where we have tech fest, workshops, games and cultural events and competitions Azure day 3 where we have cultural events like battle of bands,theme show,dance battle etc. Onam is well celebrated with lot of fun events Christmas is also well celebrated with carols cakes and candies. We have something called Friday night every Friday set up for hostelers where they can enjoy themselves in the campus by dancing playing sports,card games,watching movie, dance, sing or simply roam around the campus with your friends

Hostel Facilities

You'll get triple double and single rooms here. You're provided with a bed a table a cupboard bed pillow bucket light fan table lamp broom etc. Meals are decent where you get both veg and non veg. You get non veg food on all days except Friday . If you don't want non veg you can choose veg.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

Decent college, Good infrastructure,Calm and peaceful environment, friendly and helpful staff,safe and secure,good education,good lab facilities,nice and clean. Lot of opportunities for techies, students who are passionate.

Faculties are hardworking with determination and passion, quite outgoing. Exam level: moderate. You have 2 series exams in a sem and the semester ends with the main sem exam. The college is now autonomous so they modified the syllabus making it more efficient

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
