Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum having affiliated from University of Delhi so as the FYUP candidate our syllabus is one of the tough and quite diverse. Four paper of Mathematical Physics in which I topped at the university level, 3 core and finest structured syllabus of Quantum physics and B.Sc honors. Physics
Internships Opportunities
Yes!! The internship is all about interest of the candidate , If a student wants to do an internship then the kind behaved teachers always help us. I also did my internship from IIT-Bhubaneswar. So If you want to do an internship then you have freedom at every level
Placement Experience
There are two opportunities for job and placements, 1st from Slc own placement cell and other from Delhi University CPC. There are many companies like RBS, Infosys Wipro come here for students. So placement cell is also good but not well known compare from others.
College Events
Freshers Party Dance events Science day celebrations Yoga day Farewell celebrations And many other cultural and social activities celebrated here regularly. Being a DU student , I feel that you are not only part or College but part of a University too. So you can take part of every other activities from other colleges too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As a central University, the fee structure is not too high. It approx Rs.10,000 every year for B.Sc course. The minorities and Sc/St also get some scholarships as a fee. Overall the fees are not a big deal if you become a part of DU.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no any scholarships and loan facility here, because of low fees, I did my internship from Bhubaneshwar IIT so they never asked for these percentages. But you have to crack any other competition
Campus Life
Labs:- Physics department having two labs as LAB-1 and LAB -2 having all the good working equipment for students. Painting sketching dancing yoga and so on cultural activities celebrated over here. Many sports activities like cricket also done here.
Hostel Facilities
Shyam Lal College has not its own hostel. But students get P.g's at a very nominal cost. Infrastructure at my time is not good but at this time the SLC become has changed, there is 2 new buildings, Lifts for handicaps. So the infrastructure is also is not a big deal if you are a studio person !!
Alumni/Alumna
Of course!! Every senior have their own perspectives and they give knowledge to us about every inch as they experienced all things in his life. In physics honors, we have to take the ideas and help from seniors.
Exam Structure
The exam is semester wise which comes after 5-6 months in a year. Examination level of question and checking is too good. I mean any average student can score good enough marks from SLC. In internals, teachers give help for marks too. So the exam structure is good !!
Admission
After 12th on the basis of my percentage, I got my admission. In 2013 I applied for B.Sc Honors in Physics. My PCM percentage is about to 86% so I got Shyam Lal College which is at Shahdara Delhi. Applicants who want to study in SLC they have to apply in University of Delhi form.
Faculty
I completed my graduation from B.Sc honors in physics. As I came from the science background of Physics want to say that the department having 10-12 teachers in which 4 associate professors. Department of Physics is one of the good and discipline department.
