Remarks

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Every semester the university does a feedback program to ensure high standards of education are imparted and based on the feedbacks a committee sits to review and revise the course curriculum to the modern standards of education. The outcome of this exercise results is that the best and objective oriented courses are taught. More focus is on the practical part of the course and skill development.

Internships Opportunities

Our university has MoU's with numerous technological industries and we motivated and helped on many fronts to get internships in these industries. Apart from that the alumnus of this university also helps us in getting internships and training in various industries. A stipend of 5 to 8 K is given by the industry after completion of internships. Moreover, our university has made it mandatory to do 3 internships in a 4 years BTech program.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are good and companies like TCS, Adobe, Indian Navy, HCL, Wipro and many more come here for placements. Here a full-fledged cell is made to provide students with the exposure and training to sit in placement drives.

College Events

5

Here we have two major events apart from international conferences etc. We have a technical fest called Titiksha and a management fest called Tatva. Both of these fests impart and inherit a sense of team building and technical know-how and sense.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Here the fee structure is a little expensive but the facilities we get are at par with the fees. So no complaints about the fees . also those who get an excellent GPA (i.e 8.5) or above are eligible for the scholarship up to full semester and hostel fee waiver.

Fees and Financial Aid

I in my 2nd semester got 8.89 CGPA for which I awarded a scholarship of 50% hostel and tuition fee waiver for that particular semester. Apart from that, there is a 4 semester's fee concession for students who have a JEE rank under 1 lac.

Campus Life

5

Labs are extraordinarily good and with modernized equipment. Sports activities are also good but there is a need for improvement. Extracurricular activities like essay writing competition, drawing competition, singing and dancing competitions are held every semester and winners are awarded prizes.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 3 girls hostels of 1000 beds and 6 boys hostels of 1500 beds and the infrastructure is pretty good. Every day sanitization is done to ensure good hygiene and cleanliness in and around the hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network has not much development. Yes, alumni meet are done but it's restricted only to that but in some cases, alumni help is provided to get internships, etc moreover within a very span of its existence, this university has provided the nation with many gentlemen with high stature among the reputed society of scientists and entrepreneurs.

Exam Structure

Here we have two minors and one major exam in a semester. Each at an interval of 30 working days. The schedule for each year is given beforehand at the beginning of the semester. This schedule is strictly followed. Since it is a deemed college here the examination papers are set and checked by the faculty itself.

Admission

I got admitted in this university through JOSAA seat allotment process in round 5 and I was then instructed to fill the university form online and then university officials emailed me regarding the admission process and I had to pay a fee of 10 thousand for seat confirmation and at the time of reporting I had to pay a lump sum fee of 1.80 lakhs during counseling session. During counselling I was allotted a seat in Btech electronic and communication engineering.

Faculty

4

Since this university is a young university. It's been established in 2006, there is a need for experienced professors that the university authorities are eyeing for and recently a few experienced professors have been appointed. Mostly the university faculty is young and dynamic and they are ready to help you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
