- Freedom to do whatever necessary and choose whatever interests you too pursue in future
- Events conducted during whole year like GC, Illu, fests etc
- Campus size is pretty good to roam around
Dislikes
- The place outside campus is not good and not very cheerful
- non-veg is more dominant food here which doesnt do justice with people who eat only veg
- Gender ratio is pretty less, it is around 1:4 (girl:boy)
Course Curriculum Overview
If you are really interested in the core, the curriculam followed here is the best. We are trained in proper labs which provides a good exposer to what to do in real life related to what we study in theories. The area of improvement could be with increasing the interest of the students and telling them about all the opportunities that they might have in future. Exams inculding class tests can be considered pretty frequent but the difficulty can be moderate to high based on your preparation
Internships Opportunities
Generally all the companies visit our campus, and the stipend offer may vary from 20k to 20L per month . Around 300 to 400 companies may come depending on the hiring season. Majorly around 40% people may get internship through the campus in the worst season
Placement Experience
In the starting of your final year you are being registered with the CDC(career development center) who lets you apply for all the companies which visits campus. The placement stats qre around 70% and the average package is around 20L which is pretty decent.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee 1L per semester which makes it 2L per year. Beside that hostel fees, wifi fees, medical fees etc are there which makes the total around 1.4L per semester equivalent to 2.8L per year which keeps increasing every semester. For EWS 2/3rd of tution fees is waived , for sc/st whole tution fees is waived. Scholarship available are mcm, inspire for bs/ms , sc/st assistanceship etc etc
Campus Life
We have "Spring fest", "khitij" which are one of the biggest fests conducted in colleges. Beside these in my college you will find many clubs, socs, cells, which are there for your every interest you may have and provides good care to your interest. Then we have general championship where you may participate and showcase your strngths in social and culture or sports or technical fields.
Hostel Facilities
Different types of room are there depending on the hall that will be allocated to you. Overall we have triple sharing, double sharing, single rooms. You get your own study table, chair, bed as the minimum needs. In addition things depends on the hall allocated. The hostel arranements are all managed by the HMC(hall management center) and student has no need to go look into it much.
Admission
I applied for this college only as i was pretty clear in my mind that the best option i have with whatever rank i have is IITKGP. To get addmission here you just have to get good rank in jee advanced.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty good and based on a person's interest the faculty can give good enough time to that person. Some faculty gives good grade despite of less attendance which can be considered as good. Some faculty are too strict with their course that they tend to forcefully fail few students everytime. Average out you have to give 5 exams every semester and the difficulty totally depends on how much have to studied.
