Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have an interest towards marketing and business domains. So, that was my motive to choose this course. The curriculum contains practical aspects like giving presentations, assignments, researching, and many more activities that prepare students to face the real world. If the teaching methods are made a little more practical, then I think that it will be really beneficial for all. We have just 2 exams in a year, each at the end of a semester. The difficulty level is easy-to-moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Hansraj College has a dedicated internship cell that helps students find internships scross various fields, including finance, marketing, human resource, research, and even creative roles like videography and baking. Internships through the college can vary in stipends, with some roles not offering any stipend while others can provide upto Rs 50000 per month. Additionally, internships act as stepping stones to full-time job placements after graduation, with Hansraj's strong reputation attracting recruiters from large corporations like EY, Wipro, Deshaw etc.

Placement Experience

5

6th semester students are eligible for placements. The various companies that come for recruitment are the big 4, deloitte, google, and many more.... And about 200-300 offers were made for my course. The highest placements go upto Rs 36 LPA and average placements go upto Rs 9 LPA. Almost 80-90% students get placed in my course. I wish to go for an MBA after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for Bcom hons. at hansraj college is Rs 28435. The fee breakup is as follows- Tuition fee- 540 Caution fee- nil Registration fee- nil Admission fee- 20 Development fee- 5000 Societies and seminar fee- 2500 Exam fee- 3600 Postal and network charge- 7500 Annual charge- 9275 The fees for SC category is Rs 21000 per annum. The fees for ST category is Rs 21000 per annum. Thw fees for PWD category is Rs 19000 per annum. Need based scholarships are offered to those who have annual family income less than Rs 5 lakhs.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is the best part of being a hansarian. We have our annual fest Confluence which is literally one of the best fests of whole DU. The fest season begins in January and stays till March. Apart from these, departmental fests are held all throughout the year. Anyone with a college ID card can issue books. The library is very big and contain a large number of books and material. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned with a blackboard in each. We also have a projector in each classroom. The rooms are quite spacious and have good ventilation. There are many student run societies and these are really important to enhance the skillset of the students. They provide practical experience and have a positive impact on your resume.

Admission

I applied to Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and got selected in both. Yet, I still preferred Hansraj college(Delhi University) over them because DU is far better than other colleges. No, I did not get rejected in any university. For admission in Delhi University, you need to give the Common Undergrad Entrance Test or CUET. Afterwards you are allotted colleges based on your test scores. The cutoff for my college and course was 770(for general), 752(for SC and ST), 654(for PWD). The overall admission experience was okay. The CUET exam was conducted properly and students had to face a lot of issues.

Faculty

4

There is 1 teacher for approximately 50 students. So, the teacher-to-student ratio is quite good. The faculty is very friendly and can be approached anytime whatsoever. Speaking of the commerce faculty, I liked Dr Sudesh Kumari the most because of her style of teaching and interacting with students. Till now, there is no faculty member that I didn't like. All professors are absolutely fabulous here. We have our end semester exams twice a year. The difficulty levels are moderate to easy. Almost everyone clears the exams. The course curriculum includes both theoritical and practical aspects making it one of the best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
