KIIT IN A NUTSHELL

In the first year you have to study every subject irrespective of your branch. You have to not only study but yoga and swimming will be compulsory in sports and yoga and you have to do mechanical workshop where you have to do fitting, wielding, turning and sheet metal. In practical you have to do BEE LAB, BEtc LAB, CHEMISTRY LAB, PHYSICS LAB, ENGENEERING DRAWING, COMMUNICATION LAB(you will be taught how to speak and develop your public speaking and interview skills) and COMPUTER LAB. In theory classes you have to study BEE, BEtc, Chemistry, English, Physics, EVS, Biology, Maths. THE CURRICULUM IS PRETTTY MUCH IRRELEVANT JUST LIKE ALL THE COLLEGES OF INDIA BUT FROM SECOND YEAR ONWARDS ONLY CHEMISTRY AND MATHS WILL BE THERE AND YOUR MAIN SUBJECT.

There is a placement and internship cell at KIIT which brings companies for placement and internship, and students have to check the latest updates from the institute's placement office for the most current information on internship opportunities.

Over 700 plus companies visited for campus placement of 5000 plus eligible students from all over kiit and approximately 5585 offers were generated. For KIIT engeneering, 3125 plus job offers were made by 390 plus companies. Out of these, approx 1500 plus were Dream Offers with an average CTC of 8.50 LPA. Aside, 1000 plus students bagged multiple offers. Maximum number of 184 plus offers were made by HighRadius followed by Deloitte with 148 whereas highest CTC of 53 LPA was offered by Yugabyte. More than 228 companies offered CTC of 5 LPA plus, wherein 134 companies offered CTC of 10 LPA and plus. Also, more than 1500 paid internship opportunities were generated.

KIIT organises different events fests at different times and interested students can attend those events and learn many things. Apart from these many tournaments of bgmi, and many hackathons are also organised but you have to keep a track on these events and you can participate it these. There are many libraries in the campus but one main library known as central library present outside the campus is gem. You will get any books journals and it is a five storey library fully air conditioned. You will get the access for the library after first year. Talking about the classrooms, you will provided with air conditioned classroom with smart boards and a pretty much decent environment. Each section will hold around 70 to 80 students in the first year. After first year each section consists of around 30 to 40 students. All types of Sports facilities are available in KIIT you can just register your name and if they see passion and talent in you they will train you.

There are mainly 5 types of rooms in the hostel: 1. 3 bedded non ac 2. 3 bedded ac without bathroom 3. 3 bedded ac with bathroom 4. 2 bedded ac without bathroom 5. 2 bedded ac with bathroom All rooms with be provided with a bed 2 bedsheet one bucket,mug one blanket, one chair one table and one cupboard. Common bathrooms of KP-7AB are little bit untidy but rest of the hostels have clean common washrooms. Talking about the mess, menu is pretty much ok but the quality sometimes is not good. It is like okish but not very good. The registration process of hostel will be told after payment of the registration fees of 75000. You will get many pgs and the cost of pgs are same as the hostels sometimes very little bit costly.

I have applied to SRM and BENNET UNIVERSITY and got chance in both of them. I was offered 20% scholarship in BENNET UNIVERSITY. Reason for rejecting SRM is too much fees and I reside in north India so location is also a major factor. Reason for rejecting BENNET UNIVERSITY is because of its intake of too much students but not providing enough hostels and Classrooms, basically there is a too much crowd. In KIIT you can apply by giving KIITEE which will have 3 phases most students get admitted in 2 phases only. Other options are by management quota or jee percentile. Eligibility criteria- You have to score min 60% in class 12.

The faculties here are a mixture of both good and average faculties just like in any othe college. Definitely you can get good faculties who teach you with all effort and some are like pdf readers or not good enough to explain to the students. THE COURSE STRUCTURE FOR FURST YEAR: There will be two courses which will go on simultaneously Course 1 or better known Scheme A will have: Theory Classes: Differential Equations and linear algebra(DE and LA), Physics, EVS, Biology and Programming lab Labs: Physics Lab, Engineering Drawing Course 2 or better known Scheme B will have: Theroy classes- DE and LA, Chemistry, Basics in electrical and baiscs in electronics and English Labs- Chemistry Lab, Sports and Yoga, Mechanical Workshop, Bee lab, BEtc lab, Communication Lab EXAM DETAILS: Autumn session will be first semester which will have mid semester and end semester. Spring session will be second semester which will also have mid and end semester. Mid sem- 20 marks End sem- 50 marks
