Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course is a degree course and will help me get into jobs faster and i will gain more knowledge. This course has definately helped me gain real world knowledge and operations. Teaching methods could be better if the syllabus is on time. Every sem there are 3 unit tests with difficulty level easy to medium

Internships Opportunities

5

There was no stipend to me since i was in my first year. But the companies are vlcc, lakme, enrich. We had to handle real clients during the internship which has prepared me a lot for the real world experience

Fees and Financial Aid

Im paying yearly 2,30,000 rupees for the course and the caution money is 15,000. I am. Not sure about the fees of my classmates. I am not sure about the names and amounts of financial aid that are available for students.

Campus Life

4.5

Saksham event is held in january, skill utsav is held in october. There are number if booka and journals available in the library. The classrooms have projectors in it. There are number of sports event taking place like cricket football etc. There is a rotaract club, music group in the campus

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel room has a fan study tables, beds for 2, good bathrooms and spacious cupboard facility. The menu and meal quality is good not bad. The hostel fees are 1lakh 95 thousand and is not quite affordable

Admission

I did not apply to any other college since there were no colleges which provided a degree course in beauty and wellness. The admission process included a personal interview on site. Overall tge admission process was quite easy

Faculty

5

The faculty and student relationship is really good. Thry are kind and very helpful not just in terms of academics but personal issues also. I like mrunmai rege and sonalee dhoble for makeup and skin respectively. I didnt like bena george since she favours the kids who do not come to class and thats favouritism. There are 3 unit tests every year and 2 final sem exams. Out of 4 fail to clear the exams

Interview Experience

5

I did face a interview round with the faculty where they had previously asked me to make a ppt on the follwing points they wanted and then asked me questions like why did i choose this course, why didnt i apply to other colleges, how did u create a interest in this field

SIES College of Arts Science and Commerce - [SIES ASCS], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Reviewed on Feb 19, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
