Likes
- One of the biggest campuses in Mumbai after IIT Bombay and KJ Somaiya.
- The college is built over 125 years ago and that heritage building and remains are still present inside the campus.
- Placements are key and in our college they are next to IIT Bombay.
Dislikes
- Location ka not great as metro station is still not built and for those living in suburbs, it is difficult to reach the college by changing local trains.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics importance can never be discarded as you can lace everything with technology but for making products and electronic engineer will always be needed. Our curriculum has enough practical exposure and tie ups with companies for students to apply for internships. The curriculum makes us industry ready way before we complete our course.
Placement Experience
From the final years, we have placements campaigning going on all year round. For our department almost 20 companies showed up last year and Gabriel India and Phillips have always been the besr recruiters of our branch. It was lovely to see that one of our branch student was hired with a package of 30LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is so cheap here as 85000 is what I have to pay yearly. Last year also, it was the same and it's still the same. For students with taking admissions under SC/ST category, they are given a huge discounts as in some cases their entire fees too is waived off other 30-40% less is for all.
Campus Life
Rangawardhan and Pratibimba are two committees that organized cultural events every year and therefore the events are named the same. Since, it's an engineering college the main footage is given to Techfest called Technovanza. The campus is huge as it is built in an area in excess of 15 acres or so. Theres an entire Gymkhana inside the campus and besides that outfielde are available for sports like football and cricket.
Admission
MH CET is the way to get admissions here and mind you top scorers in MH CET gets admissions here. VJTI was my second choice after MIT Pune so I won't say I got any rejection anywhere. Hailing from Mumbai, I think it was for better good that I got a schore which was sufficient enough for getting admissions her.
Faculty
Mine is electronics branch which is kind on unpopular so we just have nearly 70 students in all. The total number of faculties is around 12 so 1 faculty against 6 students. Best ratio to find and besides that the best is the way how they teach us and reach out to us directly if our grades are poor.
