NSS College of engineering is one of the engineering colleges under the government category. The college is accredited under the National Board of accreditation. N S S College of Engineering, Palakkad is one of the most reputed, premier engineering educational institutions in Kerala affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. It was established in 1960 by Nair Service Society under the leadership of late Bharatha Kesari Mannathu Padmanabhan, during the second five years plan with the assistance of the Central and State Government under the grant-in-aid scheme. The college has an enviable heritage and legacy of grooming brilliant engineering professionals who later made their mark in industrial and other sectors of the country and abroad. At present, the institution offers B.Tech degree courses in six branches and M.Tech degree courses in Communication Engineering, Power Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, Structural Engineering and Computer Integrated Manufacturing. Situated in NSS Nagar at Akathethara, 9 km from Palakkad town, the Campus is easily accessible, being only 4 km from the Palakkad Railway Junction, and is only 5 km from the renowned Malampuzha Gardens. Spread over 125 acres, the college includes an administrative block, separate blocks for each department, a library block and four hostels including one for ladies. Nestling among verdant foothills, the institution is a tranquil and serene setting for higher education.

Entrance Exam, Merit List

It is a four years course with the 8th semester. at the end of every semester, we had a semester exam. Eligible to write examination will be according to internal mark and attendance. Student requires at least 45% internals and 75% attendance to write the exam

Placement procedures are conducted in the 7&8 semester. We had a seperate placement block for placement related things. College provides placement training for all students in 6th semester. The training was done by one of the best trainers in Kerala

The main event was our techfest. College management and college unions are together clubbed to conduct national level techfest. The first time it was named as GAMAYA now it is named as DYUKSHA. NCNSSCE is the national conference hosted by our college

The college comes under the category aided colleges. even though they're under management but they will take government fees. the tuition fees for a year are around 6000 rupees. In addition to that, we had a small about the special fees also. Exam fees are separate and that was paid to University, it's around 1700 per semester.

There are lots of scholarship available in your colleges.mainly almost all the scholarships are based on government scholarships.instead of the Government scholarship for college of ascertaining other scholarships. Scholarships are mainly provided by the college management.in addition to that, there are lots of courses which are offered by the alumni of the college.

Every department heads separate laboratories according to their academics. Old laptop well equipped with electronics and mechanical parts and components.college had a common computing facility with more than a hundred computers with high speed internet around a speed of 100 MB per second. The college had a physical education department that will support sports talent of the students. The college had teams for football basketball shuttle cricket volleyball, etc.

The main strength of all colleges is our alumni. Dayal will support even they provided financial support for financially backward students. the percentages of aluminum station visit the college every time with a time gap and they will analyze the condition of the college and help the students to achieve their goals.

Since it is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala, so we had a well experienced group of facilities. Almost 50 % of faculties are Ph.D. holders. Remaining are Ph.D. schoolers. They all are well supported and encourage us to do something out of the box
