Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum of the college is pretty nice, we are indulged into real world applications other than just for the sake of scoring marks. Internships Opportunities
the internshi[p opportunities are quite good over here. it has a company in its campus ..named high radius , which provide internship to students if they fail to get any. other companies include intel. the internship are mostly without a stipend. for a paid internship you have to work by yourself.
Placement Experience
the placements in computer science , BTECH department is average, you cant be completely dependent on the college for the placements. other than that you need to have a good CGPA for good in campus placement opportunities. Surely many companies visit our campus, but still the placements are average , you have to develope your own skills. my plan is to get a job after completing my degree, i ahve not thought much on it, because you know the world is chnaging so fast, there are so many opportunities getting created and destroyed simultanoeusly
Fees and Financial Aid
for Btech in computer science (core) the fees is 2 lakhs per semester,excluding the hostel fees (there are also hostel registration fees of 15 000 and mess fees of 22500. if you have to take other facilities like the gym or any of the sports, there are charges for them also. scholarship is provided to students to secure rank under 1000 in the KIITEE entrance exam. The scholarship i am currently availing is 10000 per month, however you have to fulfill some conditions to avail the scholarship throughout the course.
Campus Life
the overall experience here is quite good, the campus provides lots of opportunities, if you have to discover any of the fields. there are clubs and socities for almost everything here at KIIT, so in the matter of sports and campus life, it is surely above average.
Hostel Facilities
the hostels are of different category, there are 3 bed , 2 bed , AC and Non-AC rooms available. one can chose from there choice , one can even change it at the end of the year. the mess food is decent, the menu keeps getting updated, sometimes it gets little monotonous but its clean and well cooked. there are many PG and rented rooms available near the college.
Admission
i chose this college for some personal reasons, coz my elder brother was also here. other than that it provided good scholarship and the placements are very much simliar to other private colleges of the similar category. i couldnt get into government colleges for my desired course. the admission process is through KIITEE and even through JEE mains, the KIITEE has 3 phases. it is not that difficult to get CSE in KIIT and even if you get a rank under 1000 , you are provided a merit scholarship
Faculty
The faculty members are quite good, if you pay attention in class there is a high chance that you will end up scoring good. the good thing is that you will be provided with a mentor and a tutor, who assist you with everything. mid semester is conducted for 20 marks, and the end semester exam is for 50 marks and the rest 30 marks are with the professor, those include class performance, quiz, class tests and assignment.
