College review

There are no negative remarks from my side as I feel everything very satisfying here. The campus is very huge and beautiful, consisting of all a student needs for studies and recreation. The campus is peaceful and well secured. The police station is very near in case of an emergency so the campus is very safe.

Entrance Exam

There are all subjects taught in all streams which are generally instructed by the government to teach in that stream. The b.tech is a four years course which is divided into eight semesters, each year having two semesters. There are labs also in each semester for all subjects. Each semester is of almost five months. Each subject is of 100 marks, divided in mid-semester exam of 25 marks, end-semester exam of 60 marks, and 15 marks for assignments given in class, class performance, class activities, and attendance. And for labs, the 100 marks are divided as 6 marks for the performance of each experiment and one has to do 10 experiments in the semester, and 40 marks for the final lab exam.

The placement scenario is very good. The average package is around 4lakhs per annum. And almost 90-95% placement ratio. All IT and circuit branches have a 100% placement ratio. All big IT and core companies come for placement, and most MNCs prefer to select students from here for placement as the reputation of the college is very nice. College does provide internship if students apply, and stipend can vary according to the type of internship they do from 10-30 thousand.

There are numerous events that take place on the college campus. The college has a special activity center where all events take place and practice for them is done by students. There are many state and national level sports events and competitions, rugby matches in cricket, hockey matches. Many celebrities from all fields like music, dance, art, science, psychology, etc come to address students. MUN also takes place here and TEDX also is conducted for TED talks and celebrities are invited. There is a fest that takes place in which numerous competitions like robotics, gaming, etc takes place, and celebrities are called for performance.

The fees are not very expensive if all facilities and opportunities are kept in mind and also the good placement scenario. The total fees for 4 years of the b.tech course are almost 16 lakhs which includes hostel charges, mess charges, tuition fees, all books for all subjects, free library, the latest technology laptop, bedding related items. The rooms provided are well furnished and with spacious room space and cupboards. So including all of it, the fee is feasible. The fee is to be paid semester wise before starting of each semester, being around 4 lakhs for each semester.

If a student gets maximum marks in their batch, they do not have to pay their tuition fee as a scholarship. I have not availed for any loan or scholarship. The students can be sent for better M.Tech options by scholarship if they perform well.

There are all kinds of scopes for all extracurricular activities. There are football, cricket, basketball, tennis, badminton and courts, carrom boards in hostel, dance, drama, singing, musical instruments etc societies. There are societies related to NGO work and NSS. There are labs for all subjects which are well equipped with the latest machines which are updated regularly and well maintained.

The hostel is of three types, two bedded AC rooms, three bedded AC rooms and three bedded non-AC rooms. All rooms are spacious enough to have all the things of a student in the room, each student gets a separate bed, cupboard, chair, and table. There are 24×7 electricity and water availability. The mess is in the hostel, which serves breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner in the morning, noon, evening and night respectively. Each room has wide windows also and is fully lighted. The food in the mess is very healthy. The hostel is completely under CCTV surveillance so no cases of fights or theft are possible.

The seniors are very helpful in guiding. They are always connected with us through social-networking and guide us for placement related or exams related queries. They also have alumni meetings in college every year and we get to know the accomplishments of our very old seniors and get to learn from their working experience.

The faculty are very learned, almost most of them are from NIT's or IIT's and are M.tech degree holders. They teach very well and from base knowledge to the expertise level of a subject. They all have very nice communication skills and also give extra time if any student has a problem after the class timings or on holidays. They also entertain students on e-mails if they have any problem or doubt. They also take care for hostel problems of any student.
