The infrastructure is good. a lot of greenery calm place
Faculty is also good. teachers put efforts for studenets. they help them a lot if they will ask for help
You can take part in alot of other activities and enhance your skills. there are alot of clubs in our college.

Teachers put alot of effort to make children understand the concepts. they give real work examples for more clarification so that students can relate easily and understand more efficiently.. recently examination pattern has been changed we have to give one mid sem exam(20)marks and major exam (40)marks. 20 marks for quiz and 20 marks for assignments or projects.

The overall experience in college in good .. students also need to put efforts for their interests. There are a lot of clubs like dance club, music club,astronomy club,photography clubs and many more so that students can do side by side activities and pursue their interests as a hobby.

Hostel Facilities

The food is good. I have been provided with a doublet bedroom. It has all basic things that are neeeded in a bedroom like bed, fans, almirah, lights and table. Only vegetarian food is provided in hostel mess and college canteen.

Admission

I chose this college because it was near my house. I stay in Jammu and college is in Katra so i go to home every weekend. moreover, this college has good rank and ok placements. the exams accepted for my course was Jee Main and cuet in 2023. Now in 2024 only jee main is considered.

Faculty members are good. teachers and professors help children to decide their goal in life..they motivate children to appear for competitive exams. even in Ece dept Tarang is introduced in which students help other students to prepare for other competitive exams

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
