Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty much straight forward an enrolled student has to complete 195 course's credits(during my time it is now reduced to 165 credits). The exam structure is as follows, for a subject, out of 100 marks, students are evaluated on the basis of 3 tests namely Test-1(15 marks), Test-2(25 marks), Test-3(35 marks) which take place on regular intervals(at an interval of 35 to 45 days) and remaining 25 marks are an internal assessment based upon student's attendance, class quiz,assignments. This kind of exam pattern makes it very easy for students to pass the examination.

Placement Experience

There is a combined placement session for students of all Jaypee Colleges(JUIT, JIIT, JUET & JUA) at JIIT, Noida. There is a personal assessment for individual students via placement cell, Mr. Pankaj, The placement in charge and T&P head of the college is very cooperative.

College Events

The college has an Annual Cultural Festival(Le-Fiestus), Sports Festival(Parakram), Technical Festival(Murious). JUIT-MUN takes place in our university every year, JUIT youth parliament is an annual debate competition on political matters and we have huge participation from different Universities in all festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was as follows 1st semester-159500 2nd semester-130000 3rd semester-159500 4th semester-130000 5th semester-159500 6th semester-13000 7th semester-159500 8th semester-99500 The above-mentioned fees are of both hostels as well as tuition fees. A security deposit of Rs 10000 was also deposited at the time of admission which is refundable. The hostel fee was Rs 45000 but was later increased to Rs 47500

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't opted for any education loan, as for the scholarship our college does offer scholarships but during my 4 years at college It did not come to my notice if any of the students did get any scholarship

Admission

I got admission on the basis of JEE rank.My rank was around 3 lakh and i got enrolled in Electronics and Communication branch which i desired the admissions are now also done on the 10+2 merit basis.There are some NRI seats and Management seats as well.

Faculty

The faculty of our college is good. Faculty are strict at some point, but they always guide the student at each and every step. Faculty is available for the students to help every time one can reach the faculty either in office or on call. The faculties were Graduates from prestigious universities and highly experienced

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . After that students can attend the counselling sessions where they can vbisit the college get to know about the college . the admission staff is very helpful and they guide the students and family step by step throught out the whole process....Read More

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
