Remarks

The college is overall good it needed some more infrastructure. The students here are very good. There needed some more exposure and flexibility in the college. The students are very good in the studies. But there is a gap between the students and teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

The stream that I chose was electrical engineering. The course is quite intense. The semester and mid semester happens regularly. Also, the student works hard to make their innovative projects. There is also a regular lab for students.

Placement Experience

I'm in the first year so I don't know much about the internship programs. But I know that students go to good companies for the internship. Like Nalco, Google summer code Iffco, sail, etc. Also, the majority of people get good placement.

College Events

There are a few events celebrated in the college. Like Xtsay in the college of engineering and technology Bhubaneswar. Where different programs are held. Like dance, music celebrity comes to the program. Also, the Odisha hackathon held here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is low compared to other colleges as it is run by the government of Odisha. It takes 37000/- per year as the course fee. And the college hostel takes 18000 per 6 months. Also 1500 per year for exam related.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, some scholarship is provided by the college to the students. The details about the scholarship are given in the notice board time to time also on the website. The scholarship is given to students having good ranks.

Campus Life

In our college, there are different types of sports that are played. Both indoor and outdoor sports are there to play. There are different clubs for dance and music. Also for coding, for robotics, for cricket, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is average. There is no hostel provided for 1st year student to stop ragging. And as I heard the food provided there is not that good. Overall the hostel is ok. Some more infrastructure is needed to develop.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni come to college to meet students. Many alumni are very successful in there life. Some become IAS officer. Many are working in successful companies like Amazon Microsoft Google etc. Also, some alumni co-founded a successful company like Now float and many others.

Faculty

Some faculty are very helpful. Nearly Every faculty is a Ph.D. holder. They have deep knowledge in their respective fields. They keep learning new things and taught students about the scope of the different fields in today's world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple.
