Think and investigate before you join in any college

Course curriculum is good . Even in first year they will merge all the branches so that branch diversity will be reduced . Even from the second year we will be having open elective where we need lo learn any other branch's subjects.

They will provide paid internship (we have to pay) mostly. In some rare cases they will provide paid internship (they will pay) . They will say that internship is for around 6months but it will be completed with in 4 months.

From 7th semester we will get eligible for placements but at 7th semester we have to do internships. So, those we will do internship at 8th semester will attend that placements. They will show companies like Facebook,Google , Amazon , ISRO in their websites. But actual companies what we get are Surya tech solutions, AR tech solutions, paltech ,and other Chennai based companies. Especially for Electronics and communication technology they will not provide any better placements when compared to other departments.

Total yearly tution fees is 64000.We have to pay before the course starts and hostel fee is 1 lakh per year.Food is not that good and accommodation is good.since I have scholarship from state government I haven't paid the tution fees.but for the last year I had to pay because government haven't released the scholarship amount.If you have get management seat you need pay around 5lakhs for cse and 2 lakhs for ECE and varies according to the department

Many clubs are present in the college and only one big fest will be conducted in entire year i.e, stepcone. We can enjoy and entertain.since it is technical fest we can learn many things in that stepcone even students from other colleges also participate in that fest.

Hostel fee is around 1 lakh and we have to pay caution deposit extra. Food is not that good. The menu is routine they won't change the menu even if we suggest. There is no registration process for the hostel we just have to pay the fee. In my POV instead of statying in the hostel it is better to stay in pg or room since cost of living is less in Rajam.

Actually I applied for this because it was good at time and got seat in MVGR and GMR. So when compared to MVGR, I thought GMRIT is good and joined in it. Later in 3 Rd year I realised that I made a mistake..

Actually faculty are backbone for any college but here they will say that most of the faculty had done PhD. But those faculty will work here for experience and they will leave after getting the experience.They are cunning.They will notice everything and those who complain or anti against them they will notice them and reduce internal marks for them.
