Likes
- Earlier their were hardly any girls in the college but now the ratio has got better.
- Canteen is a paradise as not just for food but it is also our best chit chat spot too.
- Sports facilities like the Gymkhana and the outdoor ground is to good as the facilities were upgraded recently.
Dislikes
- For a college to be 10/10, it has to have the best infrastructure too, however at VJTI that's a fsr dream looking at the current scenario.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is vast and since a semester lasts just four and a half months, it becomes too hectic at times. It's unfortunate that we have to have a minimum of 75% attendance as the college is quite strict with it. I don't think anything needs to be changed but if every semester can be increased by nearly 15 days, it will benefit students immensely as a lot of pressure that we face in our academics is of time.
Placement Experience
The Training and Placement cell make us work so hard from 2nd year to the beginning of the final year that we all know that we will have jobs. Also, unless we have all our backlogs clear before entering the final year, we are not allowed to sit for placements. The top corporates like Goldman Sachs to Crompton Greaves and others have seen potential in our branch students. Off late Schneider Electricals too have started liking our branch and therefore they are the ones who took maximum students in last 2 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall tution fees is 67 thousand and all the other fees such as medical, i cards library and others takes it to around 85000 a year. My SC/ST classmates pay around 50k or even lesser as they get various aids by Maharashtra government.
Campus Life
The campus is quite big as there are 4 blocks in all and th central blocks is wher all the official work and library is available. Classrooms are modern and have smart boards. Some new labs have been set-up off late and what do I say about our cricket ground as once the ball hits the ground, it just keep running.
Admission
Maharashtra CET is one and only way that you can secure admissions here. Students have no choice to get her through management quota. So where every other college has introduced a management quota, one must applaud that VJTI still only accepts the deserved candidates.
Faculty
Faculties are one who keeps their arms around us and VJTI has exactly the same kind of faculties. Their support and helpful nature is something that I have become a huge fan of. We have new faculties in every semester but this thing is common in all of them.
