Remarks

College lacks area its the only bad mark it has no ground inside college we use external grounds.college management is good. Good faculty and good choice of electives. It followed Kerala university syllubus formely and now follows Kerala technical univers

Entrance Preview

I took KEAM,I had 7000 rank joined because of interest. It is not easy to get admission here. I got admission in government seat.

Internships Opportunities

College has internship with Tata elixi which would give internship as well as job for students who are interested. This is for EC and Mech. Branches they provide classes and training from 3rd year.

Placement Experience

Several companies comes every year like tata,MRF,Infosys,wipro and companies in technopark etc. Every companies offers 25k-35k per month.

College Events

College has technical and cultural fest called CULT A WAY. Which is ones of the best in south India as per surveys. Famous musicians from all parts of India would perform in it. It is a four day event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

35000 for government seat and 75000 for management seat. All seats are filled per merit via entrance. All seats fill up every year. NRI quata available for 3 pet batch of 120k.

Fees and Financial Aid

I avail bank loan for fees college has its own scholarships in memory of a late teacher. It also provide all scholarships by the university and the government.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. You can enjoy it here.it has arts day as well as sports day. College has student union. Three student parties work here with peace.

Hostel Facilities

College has no hostel of its own. It has tieups with some private hostels which are good. Food and facilities are good.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni provide all support in bringing more facilities more companies etc to the college. They have an alumni association. They provide facilty to ask them questions via social media.

Exam Structure

College follows Kerala university syllubus. Now they are under Kerala technical university. It has semester exams of six subjects and two labs every semester.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
