Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching methods are unique. The curriculum is practical based. They emphasise on solving real world problems. The exam is moderately hard and each semester there will be two exams and one teacher assessment test. The course structure is well and good. You can easily connect the dots.
Internships Opportunities
There is one practice school where you get hands on experience of industries. You get paid internship here. Each year there is one compulsory internships which will boost your CV. The projects are highend and practical based.
Placement Experience
From 6 semester students are eligible for placement. There are many companies like wipro, TCS , Accenture, etc take the students. The average package offered is 8 lacs and highest is arround 35 lpa . Arround 80 percent students get placed here. Moreover there is also a facility of practice school where you get paid internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
Each year you are going to pay around 2.75 lac for both hostel and academics . There is one scholarship for the students who have rank less than 75000 in jee mains. Hostel fees will be 60000 to 90000 as per ac or non AC room preference
Campus Life
There are many fests and events in college. Like ZYGON , NIRMAN , hackathons , dj nights, etc . College has wifi allover from library to classes but wifi is not available in hostels. There is also one annual sports meet up and other inter college tournaments every year. There are many clubs like GDSC, IEEE,ISTE, sports,dance,etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very affordable and neat and clean. The mess offers well hygiened food. It tastes average but there is no compromise in food quality. The registration of hostel and canteen are done during admission time
Admission
I have also applied other private and government colleges but I chose silicon as it has strict curriculum which will build ethics. The examination are genuine. All marks you secured is due to your hardwork as there is no malpractice. The placements are genuine. Here there is no management quota. Jee and ojee ranks are being checked here to get into the college. Opening rank of cse is 80000 and clossing is 175000. The overall experience is amazing
Faculty
Here there is one student mentor who will guide the students in the campus. The examination is very strict and no one can even think to cheat. 30 percent is passing criteria in theory subjects and 50 percentage in practicals. The faculties are highly knowlegeous and friendly. Everyone make your concepts clear
