Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is relevant to students and can make students industry ready but students have must some outer sources like YouTube, udemy to build or enhance their skills. There are less useless subjects in the course than other colleges like biology, civil etc are not in our curriculum. The area of improvement is only that the teachers should give .ore practical knowledge to students and should bring students for industry visit so that it helps alot for us. The exams are held semester wise and the difficulty level of the exam is moderate to difficult level.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many startups comes to college for internship like Codtech IT solutions, Hoichoi, WordPress, GT Ecom, Accenture etc. Mostly of them are unpaid but some of them give stippend between 7-15k per month. Projects - A responsive social media platform website, A blogging platform, A chatbot using Python, A tweet classifier, A desktop notifier app, E mail slicer etc.

Placement Experience

4

Placement records of college is good and getting better every years. The highest package of last year was 45LPA and average package was 6LPA and 90% of students got placed. Top recruiter companies of this college is TCS, Wipro, Cognizanto, Accenture, Deloitte, Reliance, Infosys etc. and they made good number of offers last year. My plan is to be industry ready till 3rd year by enhancing my skills and crack internships in big companies like Microsoft, Google etc. After doing my degree I want to work with many start-ups and MAANG companies too.Students are eligible after 3rd year for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission I gave 85k to college. 80k was the admission fees and 5k was for books, uniform, bag etc. I have to pay around 75k every semester. The total fees for AI-ML is 6.05L for 4 years. The college hasn't mention development fees, lab fees etc. but there will be also some additional charges like Registration fees which is 2700 Rs and examination fees etc. There is also some seats reserved for management quota which coast around 8 - 9L for 4 years of BTech.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience is good in college. There are many cultural and technical fest organises in this college, one of the best college fest is Anakhronos which is the biggest fest of Kolkata organised by our cultural club. This fest organises every year and this year the guest of this fest was Shilpa rao and last yeard Monali Thakur, Harrdy Sandhu came in this fest. Another biggest fest is TPL called Techno Premier League, which is the league of cricket between different colleges and this is very exciting and entertaining. So theere are many extracurricular activities are done in this college. The Libraty of this college is so rich and have wide range of books, dictionaries and journals and students can easily take the book from Library after issuing. The classrooms have no AC which is a bit disappointing but overall college is good.

Admission

I have applied for may colleges like IEM Kolkata, Haldia Institute of technology by my cuet marks I got many colleges like Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, Mahatma Gandhi government University etc I reacted these colleges because BHU offers BTech in Diary technology but I wanted to pursue BTech in Computer science. In IEM Kolkata I got CSE in IoT and in Haldia I got CSE core. But I rejected those Colleges and took AI-ML in techno main because it has better placement records than haldia. My college takes admission in the basis of Wbjee rank and some seats are also reserved for management quota. The cut off for AI-ML in this college was 11K something and the overall admission process is good but I have to come to Kolkata twice a week which was hectic for me because my hometown is Bihar.

Faculty

4

There is 1 teacher at every 30 students. So the faculties to student ratio is good. Relationship between students and faculty is good. Teachers are so helpful and guide students like Sk mam is the best teacher of my life but some teachers are arrogant too like physics lab teacher.Exams are held in semesters and the level of examination according to seniors is between moderate to hard level but 90% students can pass easily if they have more than 80-90% attendance. The curriculum is relevant and can make students industry ready.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
