Acedemics and placements are quite impressive. But college is not so good in sports and hostel facilities. Politics and social life among college students are good. Students are friendly and straight.
Course Curriculum Overview
In SCT, There are mainly three branches in mechanical department. Almost all exam structures are same. There are practical exams and also theory subjects. To pass an exam we need to score 75 out of 150 including internal sessional marks.
Placement Experience
College offers 100 percentage placement opportunities. But few fail to get them because of there poor acedemic scores and backlogs. College does not provide internship programmes. But they arrange them
College Events
Sree Chitra thirunnal college of engineering is excellent in cultural events aswell as techincal fest. Cult a way is a famous cultural fest conducted by college student union and faculty every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fess structure is feasible. Merit students fees structure is 35000 rs for year. And management quota is 65000. 50 Percentage seats are merit through government entance exams. There is also 10 percentage seats of nri students
Fees and Financial Aid
College directly doesn't provide scholarship for students. But they provide help and assist for students who are financially backward and have good acedemic scores. Students who belongs to lower caste have special funds.
Campus Life
The mechanical workshop in sct is top amoung the engineering colleges in kerala. Sports facilities are bit low compared to other colleges. There is no proper cricket and football grounds. Basketball court is pretty good.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel facility in the college students stay at private hostels. There is a ladies hostel outside college. College is planning to build hostel by 2 years. Currently hostel facilities is not available
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are helpful in acedemic and techincally. Alumini network is quite strong. They help in placements and also during cultural activities. They meet during cult a way and arts festivals in college.
Faculty
The faculty's are highly qualified ones who have atleast master degree from approved Universities. Moreover, most of them have done PHDs in there fields. They are interactive with students. But someof them are very strict and rude.
