Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was quiet hard but my brother influence me to choose this course, and i finalise my decision by choosing this as my course. The curriculum prepared really well for the real world application and academic pursuits. I'll suggest that they teach is unnecessary subject like iks(indian knowledge system) i mean this doesn't make sense at our course The exams timing are late compared to other colleges and their difficulty was quiet difficult.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internships and placements this college provides is very less. There are very hardly 1 to 2 companies present in campus. And that companoes take test with multiple round for qualification of internships and placements. This college is worse in term of internships and placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

In this current year I'm first year student and i paid total 34021 at the time of addmission, It includes all fees like Tution fees, caution fees, admission fees, lab fees etc. And my college provide low fees system for the students who are in caste category(Sc,St) of 75% off on fees but they dont provide such facilities for obc student. And there are no scholarship available. And they also have installment option for fees i.e we have to 20000 first and tgen remaining 14021 later before first sem. They force us to pay before first sem otherwise they don't allow students to sit in exam

Campus Life

4

There are few annual and technical festivals like phoenix, kalarang and also culural days maybe they are held at december to march All types of books are available in library including all encyclopaedias. The facilities and technological provi6within the classrooms are worse. In this college there are best sports and extracurricular activities as compare to other colleges some of student also played at national level. Some of students in college are influencer on instagram and none of them run any social groups clubs and all.

Admission

I applied in swami vivekananda college, thakur college, but i was alloted by his college in university round that's why i took admission in his college I also get rejected from colleges like swami vivekananda located in chembur cause my percentage was low. The addmission process was simple we have to just fill the seperate addmission form of acharya college and then they call us on next day and we have to go there along with documents for further process. They also have offline addmission after university rounds ends, and they took extra money(donation of 20000)from students who came for admission late after rounds. The cutoffs are low minimum 35% in hsc. And addmission process are good.

Faculty

3

The faculty in student ratio are like 75:10. The the behaviour of faculties are not good some of them are like gems but most are worse. The faculties which i like are Archana mam, Dinar sir, Swapnil sir, Akshay sir. I liked the most because they got sime great teaching skills and they ckear every doubts they are best. The faculties that i dont like are only one known as tasleem mam, She is like lil aggressive and of hothead. Today only she rip of the book of one of my friends cause he was completing other subject book in her lecture and he almost complete that book, and that waa like 33 pages of hand written notes. I mean what kind of behaviour is this. There are total two semesters in first year in both there are internal and external tests and if we fail in internal or in external there will be kt for that subject and rhat will consider are fail either we fail in internal or external. If we fail in more than 3 subjects we have to repeat the first year. And the exam difficulty is nearly difficult and nearly 20 to 25 students fail in first year as i hear these from my seniors. And they teaching us on nep syllabus which was relevant to our course and curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
