Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) has a unique position in the Professional Education Sector in South India. The motto of my college is "Focus on Excellence". The institution is accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade. The institution also received the coveted ISO 9001:20015 certification.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science And Engineering is a great course. It consists of 24 subjects which are taught over the span of 4 years. The entrance exam consists of 3 subjects: Maths, Chemistry and Physics based on 12th topic.
Placement Experience
The placements take place in the 3rd and 4th year of the course. Many prominent companies comes for the selection. Some of them are Windows, TCS, Infosys , Wipro... They give placement trainings in 2nd and 3rd year of the course. I have attended the placement training by now. It is a good event.
College Events
Bharatham, it is the number one event in our college. It is an art,tech and cultural event conducted every two years. Arangu, also an arts,tech and cultural event conducted yearly. Nautilus, completely a technical event conducted yearly. Onam celebration is conducted yearly. There are several other events conducted yearly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for a student who have received merit seat is around four lakhs for the total of four years. All the private engineering institutions in Kerala have the same fee structure which was sanctioned by Government of Kerala. The fees for a student who have received admission through management quota is around 7 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
The management provides a full tuition fee waiver for high keam scorers. It gives guarantee fee waiver for those who have 3000 or lesser KEAM rank. Also tuition fee waiver is given to backward caste students.
Campus Life
There is several labs in college. Fablab, a mini fabrication lab.A Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) is a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention which aims at providing stimulus for students and serves as a platform for learning and innovation. It is a small scale workshop offering digital fabrication which empowers the students and other users to create smart devices for themselves which can be tailored to local or personal needs. The sports and its education is the worst ever.
Alumni/Alumna
FISAT Alumni Association, FISTAA was started in the year 2006. FISTAA currently has 967 members. FISTAA conducts general body meeting every year in the month of December. Zonal wise meetings are also conducted at Bangalore and Mysore. The association conducts various Technical, Charity and Placement activities. In addition to this, FISTAA sponsored an eve rolling trophy for the winners of All Kerala Inter collegiate Basketball Tournament being held in FISAT. FISTAA sets apart a part of its fund to support the poor and underprivileged students of Government School, Azhakam.
Faculty
The CSE DEPT of my college has a wonderful faculty. They have high experience in teaching. More than half of the faculties have masters in the course core subjects.We have a great set of lab faculties too
