- FISAT has a very good placement status. It ranks among top 6 engineering colleges in Kerala. All the trainings provided is very effective and worthy. Almost all the students who are eligible for placements will be placed.
- We have expert facilities like fablab and digital library. Our main Library is so huge and it's the best
- Our college has a good sports history. We have all the sports team such as football,badminton,cricket,basket ball and volleyball
Dislikes
- As it is a private college, u will not be independent in your decisions.
- Attendances are mandatory and they will include our parents in all the Silly things
- We lack faculties who gives exposure more than bookish learning. Most of the teachers have a mentality only to score marks
Course Curriculum Overview
2019 curriculum I guess is not so relevant for practical knowledge. Doing projects on our subject will help to gain practicality. We have good laboratory setups inside the college. Teaching methods are really good. But there will not be any chance for self learning. All the teachers will be doing is spoon feeding. Exam will be conducted in every semester. 2 internal exams will be also conducted in the semesters.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities will be available from the college. The support varies from different departments. In my department some teachers will support to find quality internships and students can do it for themselves. During placement also lots of internship opportunities will be got. I did my internship at keltron which is a government institute and it was really worse
Placement Experience
Campus placements starts from 7th semester. FISAT holds a very good placement status. It ranks among the top 6 colleges in Kerala. There are lots of companies coming which includes IBM,TCS, Schneider electric, cognizant, Accenture,tata elexsi,ey and many more. Offers ranges from 4 to 15 lpa. Companies like cadence offers 15 lpa which is the highest paid job offer. Almost 90 percent of the eligible students will get placed from the campus itself and we will get a lot of opportunities from college itself even after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are several scholarship available in fisat. My fees for an entire year is 22k for an entire year. This scholarship will not be available to students anymore. All the expenses including hostel and mess facility is available in this 22k. Fees for management quota is 90k per year. This includes all the fees excluding bus/ hostel facility. Many more merit scholarships are available.
Campus Life
There are lots of clubs like NSS ,NCC and many more clubs like IEDC, IDEA, IEEE, MSME, SWAN ,ACM etc. we have active clubs and IEEE and NSS are active among them . We have various clubs in sports also. There are so many sport clubs like football, basketball, cricket, badminton, volleyball,kabbadi etc. we have arts fest and various tech fest in college. Ethinic days and onam and Christmas celebrations will be good in college
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very nice and it will be really hygienic. A student will be accommodated among 3 students in a room and we have laundry facility for which we have to pay extra money. The menu will be decided by student heads and the quality of foods will be good. Non veg and vegitarian options are available. 15,000 rupees will be charged for 6 months and 135 rupees for a single day for food. The price for food for the quality of food is really reasonable. So many pg facilities are available nearby.
Admission
I got admission in NSS palakkad for instrumentation and control. I chose fisat because the course offered by fisat was electronics and instrumentation. As electronics was better then that in nss i chose this option. For merit admission keam score is important. U will get admission based on your keam score. For management admission also you have to pass the keam exam. You can give fisat as option in allotment is you want merit scholarships. U can call and book an admission directly if it is an management admission. They will let you know the full details later
Faculty
We have a student teacher ratio of 1:20. As like most of the colleges some teachers will be very approachable and supportive. In my department I love teachers named Sreevidhya, beenu riju, sundharajan,Anil Johny etc.. they are very talented and provides us with so many opportunities. They are the best faculties. There are some other facilities like Raji p whom I don't like because they don't even don't treat children in a good way. There will be 6 subjects in the first 6 semesters and 4 subjects in next 2 semesters. We need a 40 percent marks to pass the exam. The difficulty level is medium. Interested students can also pursue minor and honours degree. Course curriculum for the new scheme is very relevant compared to the older one.
