Remarks

Negatives Parking a student vehicle in the parking lot requires a payment. It is just bonkers. Girls and boys are not allowed to sit together. I quote my teacher saying " We don't promote that here is Rajagiri ". Taking a leave is not promoted and questioned upon. Classes on some saturdays even when it is a holiday on the university academic calendar. Positives Good canteen. Good tie ups with foreign universities and student exchange programs. Ragging free campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It feel a bit dated. Some subjects feel out of place like what would you need this for in the future. Rest is okay. Depends what your taste is and which teacher is taking the course. The whole course is divided into 8 semesters spanning across 4 years. There are 6 unique subjects to be learnt each semester and some subjects are continuations of previous semester subjects. There is an eligibility criteria where by you need a minimum amount of credit to be admitted to next semester. This can be achieved by clearing all subjects. An exam registration fee also has to be paid each semester. Attendance is also a criteria for being eligible for end semester examination apart from getting minimum marks of 45% in internal examinations.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities are excellent here. Every year more than 90% get placed in reputable companies. Most of the companies that recruit from here are IT based companies. The college does not provide internships.

College Events

3

Our college does not necessarily give that much attention to any artistic events. There is an arts festival, called Bharatham which happens during the odd semester and there are two technical festival Techkshetra and Abhiyanthriki which alternates yearly during the even semester. The final years are in charge of the festival. The college on being less interested on this provides little to no funding for the same students have to find sponsors for funding it. There is also a voice hunt program conducted for first year students annually.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For a middle class family, I would say it may be. Some might find is high as it's a private college and not government aided due to which the fees are naturally higher than those who are aided by the government. Infrastructural facilities are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who have ranks below 2000 in the KEAM examination can study for just ?6000 an year compared to ?85000 for others. They also don't have to pay the security deposit ( refundable after course completion or dropout ) of ?100000.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports is also not that much of a priority here. Academics stands at top. Lab facilities are excellent. The most likable thing here is the internet speed. There is also a high performance computing facility set up. Extracurricular activities are also shadowed by academics.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel infrastructure is good for the money paid and the food is also good. There is backup power to the hostel and WiFi ( Slow and time restrictions ) available too. The hostel is nearby to the college. The major downside is that it's very strict. Curfew at 9PM for all seniors and 6:30 PM for freshmen. There is elevator facility available. Vehicle parking is available but with restrictions. I don't own one so I don't know.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Alumini network is helpful. They help to increase the number of companies that visit our college. There is an RSET Alumini association which works to improve the placement opportunities in the college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is well versed and experienced here. Good knowledge and interaction with students. Some downsides are mobiles are prohibited inside the campus and for some obscure reason, girls and boys are not allowed to sit together. They might have reasons but it is too much for the student community.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies. The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
