Likes
- The best thing about my college is the campus it has. I guess it's pretty huge which is around 22 acres. Bigger campus than any of the colleges in Kolkata
- The second thing I liked about my college is it's huge library which got many many number of books. A place very quite and perfect for studying.
- The third thing I liked about my college is the restaurant it has on campus. Very affordable and serves delicious foods.
Dislikes
- One thing I didn't like about my college is the college timing. Too hard to keep up with it.
- I didn't like the place my college is situated in. A very distant place from Kolkata and yeah very quite surroundings
- I didn't like the transportation and needed a lot of energy to travel from college to home and vice versa
Course Curriculum Overview
Pretty tough it is. Being a student of ECE, the subjects are quite hard to understand. And also there were labs we had to perform everyday. Hardly any time in Between the lectures.Each semester we are having to study almost 8-10 subjects which is definitely not an easy job.
Internships Opportunities
I'm still a student of fifth semester and currently no company have visited us for internships. The internships are going to start from next semester onward but yeah have seen seniors grabbing internships at good mncs like PWC,TCS etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
As of now, I've been paying around 60,000 per semester. Some semesters it's a little less and in the others a little more. I'm staying in college hostel only and I think it's pretty affordable. It's around 12,000 per semester. I'm from general category and also didn't apply for any kind of loan so this was the fee structure in my case.
Campus Life
As I have said before, campus is huge and beautiful. With all the flowers blooming around all 365 days of the year. This is a place I find peace in. And ofcourse the beautiful architecture of the college, the iconic four pillars is the main highlight.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very nice and clean. The best thing is that you don't have to pay huge amount for it. It's 2000 per month and I believe it's quite affordable for the majority of the students. The food provided in the canteen are also good and hygienic.
Admission
Well to be very honest, this is the only college I got selected in. I had no choice. I didn't want to be in haldia as it is a town far away from Kolkata. But yeah everything happens for our own good. I have no regrets regarding it. This is the best college I could be in. I really am myself here.
Faculty
Faculty members are pretty encouraging and also friendly to us. Each and every teacher has been really dedicated to us regarding our studies. Everytime we faced problem, they were there to guide us through.
