The building of the college is really good to be honest and has filtered water all the time

At first it all seems but after some time you'd realise it's all for show there's nothing here

Course Curriculum Overview

No I chose it by my own and was not influenced by this curriculum in any way. Well it's computer science (data science) so I guess there might be demand by the time I graduate. Teaching methods are literally not good I have to use YouTube to understand the concepts, many of the teaching staff doesn't even know basic English.

Class Size: 12Course Fees: INR 71000 per year

Placement Experience

Literally no placement for btech students, like it's all for diploma amd only diploma gets placements not the btech branch, I beleive I heard that Infosys had came here last year or something I'm not sure After getting degree I plan on taking any job which I get to gain some experience and climb my way up

Fees and Financial Aid

70000 per year for my course which is btech cse (data science) , they took 10k as miscellaneous fee and 1000 as caution deposit they also took 1000 for gym till my course ends , my batchmates have the same one too , some of them do have scholarship and fees usually gets reduced to 30k for the course alone.

Campus Life

Not at all , I hate to say but there are no annual festival at all , yes there was sports camp and all and I went to basketball match too but we neither had any coach nor had proper transportation. Last year they conducted tech fest but this year I honestly don't think it'd happen coz a lot of issues and cases are going on with them

Hostel Facilities

THIS IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR , THIS HOSTEL IS THE WORST , THE BUILDING IS GOOD AND ALL BUT THERE IS NO DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE AFTER 6 I DON'T KNOW WHY AND ALSO THE FOOD QUALITY ITS THE WORST I USUALLY DON'T EAT BECAUSE OF THE WORST QUALITY, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW I'M ALIVE AFTER EATING THIS , VERY BAD QUALITY.

Admission

Actually I did get admission offer from many colleges based on my cuet results, but unfortunately I had already taken admission here in this college and I'm regretting very much, what happened was the cuet results got so much delayed and that's the reason I'm trapped here in this college

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio js probably 1:3 . It's kind of ok ok , the student to faculty relationship, well yeah they are approachable too. There's total 8 semester and all the semester has series exam, lab exam , first 2 semester literally doesn't have any relation to my major subject.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
