Universal Engineering College Review

Our college teachers, staffs and other non-teaching staffs are really helping us while in exam oriented preparation time. They spent a lot of time with us and also they conduct interesting special classes which makes students more confidence while preparing for exam. They also support for our ideas and they gives us a good suggestions. That also gives us a great positive remark from the side of our college.

Here our college follows KTU (APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University). In my college, there they conduct 3 series theory exams for each subjects per semester to grade internal marks and practical marks (Lab) are graded by conducting practical examinations. In 1st year (S1,S2), we learn the basics of other engineering branches and also concentrates our main subject (CSE). From 2nd year (S3,S4), we enter in to our main section. There we learn both CSE subjects and Electrical and Electronics subjects. From 3rd year (S5,S6) and 4th year (S7,S8) itself, we concentrate about our main subject only.

About 50% of our total students gets placement from our college. And our college helps other 50% students for finding job opportunities. Our college supports internship. Now I am a 4th semester student. I have attended 2 internship programs. First one was conducted at Keltron Thrissur, which was a java training section in 2018 and the second one was at Kochi, which was a Python training course from the beginning of 2019. Our college celebrate more events in an year. The main events are Union Day, Arts Day, Tech Fest, Sports Day, Onam Celebration, Department Day (every department have a day to celebrate), Annual Day etc. There is a day for every club to celebrate their day ( Only for the members of that specific club). And also our college National Service Scheme celebrates National event days.

Fee structure of our college is feasible. They offers fee reduction for the students according to their performance in higher secondary marks, entrance rank and college topper in each semester etc. Commonly the fees structure is less than other colleges. Our college also supports students who is interested in engineering field having economically backwards.

I got a scholarship which was 50% fee reduction from the beginning of my academics. It is because of the good rank in entrance examination which was conducted by UEC in 2017 and also I have above 80% marks in higher secondary examination. Our college gives many scholarships. Some of them I know are good marks in higher secondary examination, good entrance rank in both KEAM and college entrance examination, top performer in each semester, etc... Our college also helps students for arranging loan service from banks for education purpose.

Our college have good lab facilities in every blocks. Every department have good lab staffs and lab instruments. Lab marks are graded by conducting practical examination section in every semester. It was very easy and interesting in lab section because of good lab staffs. They help each and every students to prepare well in labs. Sports is also an important schedule in our college. Every week have a sports period for every classes. In the sports period, resting students will be punished. Every year, our college conduct sports days which will increase students talents in sports and games.

Actually senior students are very helpful to us. They gives us a supportive response for our ideas in ideation section (IEDC,Technical NSS). They also gives us many opportunities and works when our college Tech Fest arrives. There is no raging issues comes to me or my friends ever from the side of seniors.

UEC gives us lots of faculties. Transportation facility, Hostel facility, Arts & Sports facility, Library facility, IEDC (Ideation) cell facility, NSS (Service Scheme) cell facility, Encon (Environment protection cell) Club facility, College Canteen Facility, College Campus Facility, book stall facility etc.. Our college also conduct special classes with free transport facility and they encourage and support students for their ideas.
