"The 4 years of life that I didn't waste"

The time in MBC was one of the best 4 years that I had in my life and I still wish if I could stay back for more even though this line is a cliché I can’t resist saying it.

The college was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University in which syllabus I finished my BTECH and I am proud to say we were the last batch of that university. Later the Government forced the colleges of Kerala to follow the Kerala Technological University.

Talking about the Placement Dept., I awe my career to the Department as it provided me the answer to the big question everyone has during the final months of college. “Forensics it is. Mr. Ashik Eapen Mathews” the words of the man behind the placement department Mr. Abel George. It was his and Mr. Arjun Hari’s belief in me that started up my career.

During the time in college, we had many festivals and cultural events that took place which refreshed the time in college and also took our minds from all that time we were putting in classes, which I loved the most. This was the best moment I should say. The Annual National Fest Swastika, The Cultural Fest Thandava, and many more like NSS, MGOCSM, Jesus Youth.

The fee structure I must say, The college allots a sum to 2 Crore towards a scholarship which is given according to different academic scores of the students who are joining the college. The time I came I had to pay 65000/- Indian Rupees as the tuition fees and the additional towards the hostel and labs.

I only availed the community scholarship which I got during the 4 years I studied. The rest of the scholarships can be availed by contacting the college. I am sure there is a lot now.

The college is a Co-Ed college which does not put aside anything to keeps the women aside. The college tries to bring women forward by providing them workshops and other activities to empower them. There are other events that are conducted by the various clubs and organizations like NSS-Technical Cell, Entrepreneur Cell, The Incubation system for Startups, MGOCSM, Jesus Youth etc.

I had lots of help given by the alumni and senior students like them sharing their experiences about the college and working with them was fun.

The college was famous in the region and I loved the place when I first visited the college which gave me a beautiful vibe to spend time there. The cool climate of Kuttikanam and the green mountains forced me to join the college. This was the starting and around the month of August, I planned to join.

The faculty of the college is really complicated. It gives me mixed emotions when I talk about it. It's better that I stick on with the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. I pursued Computer Science and Engineering under the guidance of two lovely HODs Ms. Alpha Vijayan and Ms. Annie Chacko who guided me throughout these years and never can I forget my mentors starting from the first day of college till today. I must mention their part which created the home factor in MBCCET. They have taken us from the school students and converted into the professional that we are now. They took their time in molding us from nothing by putting more time and energy as each individual student needed. Even though there can be some exceptions most of it worked out and some things are not in their hands and at the end of the day, everything depends on how you take it within.
