NIT Srinagar from Sharanya's perspective

The aspects that made me choose this college is the weather here and the alumni network that we can create to make our lives simple The previous placements And the respect that we get as NITan made me choose this college And talking about the branch ut the josaa councelling decided thing which cannot be changed I had interest in computer science engineering but the branch sliding option is removed this year The exams takes place regularly

We can sit for placements from the 3td year itself We can do various internships for the experience purpose The highest package goes upto 4000000 per annum and average package is 1500000 per annum The percentage placement is less for now due to recession

The year wise fee structure would be 165000 including mess fee The hostel and mess fee would be 8000 per semester There are some scholarship programs that our college collaborate with and provide for the students

We can experience the best campus life ever There are various active clubs that conduct various activities and the sports are also included Various technical fests like techvaganza will be conducted and cultural fests like range chinar Where people meet participate enjoy and connect to different people and learn things

There are in total 4 girls hostel in which 3 are in well condition There is one hostel which is a bit conjusted Mess menu in the starting feels interesting but as we eat the same repeatitive food daily we feel bored The beds and almirah ms will be provided in the room Meal quality is good but south Indians cannot adjust with the rice here since it is a bit thick Registration process for hostel is also done along with the admission process like after that

The eligibility criteria to enter this college is that we should clear Joint entrance examination(JEE Mains) with a good percentile like between 96 percentile to 98 percentile to get admission through general category While other caste reservations are also there which can help to get into the college The cutoff goes from 30000-60000 While Jammu and Kashmir state quote is also there helping students of Jammu and Kashmir join this college easily And their cutoff even goes from 200000-300000 rank

This college has the top notch faculty The top 2% of the world's scientists includes our professors Faculty to student relationship is also well maintained Dr Nadeem engineering physics faculty In my perspective is the best The knowledge that he has is immense The exam level various according to the subject Since I'm from Electronics and communication department the subjects in the 1st semester include engineering physics, engineering mechanics,basic English and communication skills, elements of mechanical engineering, mathematics, Environmental studies, The marking scheme includes 26 for mid semester exams 24 which is further divided into 8*3 8 for assessment 8 for attendance 8 for participation and activeness 50 for end semester exams The exams are totally based on the class room teaching and if we properly listen to them we don't feel much difficulty in the exams The library is also available where we can gain a lot more furthur knowledge One faculty makes students feel a bit uncomfortable Maybe it's my point of view but most of the students feel uncomfortable with this faculty his teaching is way too good and his knowledge is also great but the behaviour with CRs is not appreciable
