Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is overall good and comprehensive because at the end it is still the most demanding stream in the engineering field. Yes this course definitely prepares us for the real world field and has now a days it will still be the most demanding field in the next 5 years but there should be more job vacncy in this area to be the most demanding field.

Internships Opportunities

5

I have very bried idea about this but companies like Deloitte, Dell Technologies, JP Morgan and Co, Mackinsey, PWC and many many more companies have recruited their intern from KIIT in the pat years. I have very small idea in case of the projects but I have heard there was the development of thermal screening door with face recognisation and, designing and synthezing new antibacterial agents under research projects. But this is definitely not it there are more.

Placement Experience

5

You are trained for internship from the end of the 4th Semster and students get ready for internship by the end of 5th Semster. And by the end of 6th Semester they do get internship mostly. The placement teaining starts from the mid sem of 7th Semester. The placement in KIIT is good not that bad but now a days the jobs are getting very less which is leading to unemployment now a days. I am still a newbie so I have a brief idea of the placement area.

Fees and Financial Aid

THere is a scholarship system in KIIT in which the students who are ranking under 1000 in KIIT entrance exam KIITEE they get the scholarship, I did not get the scholarship as my rank was no under 1000 so the amount of scholarship they got I have no idea. The complete Fees of KIIT is 16 lakhs for 4 years of B Tech Coarse and there is 75000 which is admission fees. This is the complete fees structure but there is a increase in the fees which happens in every private instituiton as years passes.

Campus Life

5

As I am a still a newbie first year student in KIIT I do not have that much expericence of the campus in general, but the amount of experince till now I had is overall very good and nice and very plesant and mesmerizing. In the 1st year there is no involvement in the clubs but I have heard there are many clubs in different sector and of different jonras. The infrastructure in excellent in KIIT there are many facilities which helps us enagage with the environemnt. As I have mentioned before these experiences I will get as I go on.

Hostel Facilities

4

I stay in hostel in KIIT, and as I am a first year student they keep their 1st year students totally seperate in KP-7, which is like a complex, has many blocks from A to F. The hostels are very nice and and clean and there are people who cleans the rooms and washrooms on regular basis. The hostel menu is changed with months, the mess is very clean and the tables are also clean, the food provided is also good but there is spaces for improvement in many areas

Admission

I have applied to many collges VIT, LPU and IEM other than KIIT, VIT and KIIT was my last two options both of them are very good in the coars I was opting to persue VIT being slightly better still I choose KIIT because it was close to my home West Bengal. I got my chances there too but from all those KIIT was far better in the coarse. The admission process of KIIT is very simple you have to apply for KIITEE exam and get a eligible criteria to get to counselling and in counselling you have choose the stream priority and then after the counselling result you will get the stream and the proscess will follow through. The eligibility criteria is min 60 percent in overall in class 12th Baords and 45 percent in overall Science subjects

Faculty

4

The faculty is very good in case of studies, but there are some of the teachers which are not that good, but it will happen because all the teachers cannot be good. I have Chemistry, Maths, Basic Electrical Engg, Basic Electronics, English and SST(HASS Elective) in my 1st Semster. The chemistry, maths, BEE and English teachers are good but Basic Eletronics teacher is good but no that level of good(I will not mention the names

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
