Course Curriculum Overview

3

I got to know about the subjects that is taught here without any external course .So I decided to take admission. For me , the curriculum has a diverse set of subjects . Not all , but few of them are useful for real world or further studies if anyone want to peruse. The area of improvement can be omitting unusual subjects which isn't required for a mainstream subject. And the huge amount of fees can be a deal breaker for a lot of students who dream to persue this course .

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester end or starting of 7th semester, students officially become eligible for campus placement. Almost above 200 companies visit on campus placement every year. Most of them are mass recruiter offering packages between 4-8 lakhs per annum . But there are top notch companies who offer 15+ lpa package .

Fees and Financial Aid

Year -Wise -Fees: As a Cse student I ensure that the fees vary in different streams , but almost same in any ITbranches . Here is the breakdown: First Year: Tution fees: 3,50,000 Admission fee: 75,000 one time ( for laptop and suit which will be provided by the college) Endsem registration fee:1000 2nd to 4th year: Tution fees :3,50,000 End sem registration:1000-1500 Complete Course Fees: round of 14.75-15 lakhs Scholarships and Financial Aid Status: For sc and st students there is 10% discount in every semester fees and for students ranking under 100 ,Kiit offers scholarship of 20k per month amounting of 2.4 lakhs at the end of one year . The student should be maintain a Cgpa and sgpa above 8 to avail these scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Many tech related quiz , annual tech functions or cultural functions held here , I used to belong from a music society "Karwaan" also there are 3 more . Kiit fest is celebrated every year in a different way. Top artists of india perform every year . For sports, kiit is the best college in india I guess . For any kind of sports , they give premium practice grounds, couches and facilities . There is a large Indoor stadium inside the college . All kind of sports facilities are there

Hostel Facilities

3

24/7 electricity and water and wifi . Meal quality is below average. We had to order on Zomato most of the days in a week . Minimum is 50k per semester (non ac) including mess and hostel fees . Max is 1.25 lakhs/ semester (premium and ac)including mess and hostel fees .

Admission

I applied for VIT,vellore , IIT Kalyani and didn't get my dream branch . In KIIT, I got it so I decided to take admission nevertheless my first preference was VIT or any govt college. I didn't get any rejection from any colleges it was totally my own and family's decision to go kiit. The admission process is simple . You have to appear their admission exam KIITEE . There are 4 phases or more as you can check it in website. Students who cracked the test , will be selecting there preferred stream in counselling , the college will decide on the basis of their percentile which stream or which preference they should get .

Faculty

5

Faculty to students ratio: it's like 1:10 almost . The faculties I liked and who are my favourites , among those there is Dr.Suneeta Mohanty, Dr.Pradeep Kr Mallick, Dr.Jayalaxmi Samal , Dr. Prabhu Prasad Deb etc . I liked there ways of teaching and evaluating your copy as much as u deserved , not more or less .. The exams are not that tough . Question of mid semester is set to be a bit tougher than the end semester paper . You will definitely find it more tough if you start before 1 week ago before the exam . The 2nd and 3rd year carries the difficult and mainstream subjects which will be very important for you if you want to appear gate exam .

Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
