Likes
- It has got some really good faculty members
- The campus in itself is good and the infrastructure is also quite good
- It has got three grounds , a basketball court etc . The food in the canteen is also hygienic and of good quality.
Dislikes
- A little bit of renovation is required in the mechanical labs.
- There are no boys hostels but hostels for girls are available on campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's an autonomous college affiliated to MAKAUT. So , in terms of course curriculum it's excellent. The course is carefully designed so that it meets modern day needs and the students enrolled can land a good job or go for higher education degrees easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
Previously the total fees was 489000/- INR , but from this year there has been a fees hike and the total payable fees for the same course is now 588000/- INR . There are few scopes for scholarship as there are some federations like Reliance who recently circulated a scholarship test for a total scholarship amount of 200000/- INR. Unfortunately as described this was not from the college federation. The fees is expected to stay the same for atleast 1 or 2 years but there's a high chance of fees hike also. Year Wise fees is around 1.39 lakh INR . At the time of admission :- Tution fee - 69500/- INR Library fee - 6000/- INR Caution Deposit ( one time- Refundable ) - 10000/- INR Student welfare , Games and Sports fee - 4000/- INR University development fee - 2200/- INR Development fee - 4000/- INR Admission kit - 1000/- For those who are eligible for the TWF quota , the tution fees reduces to 42000/- INR (per semester)
Campus Life
The college library is too good and one can get hold of any type of book he wishes to read. There's a huge range of accessibility and availability of books and journals in there. Sports and extracurricular activities are also encouraged and are truly an attractive feature of this college. There are various clubs like GDG(Google developers Group) , GeeksforGeeks , EDIC (Entrepreneurship club) , Sports Club , Music club , Dance club , Drama club , Poetry club etc. One can explore all when he enters the college (mainly in the second sem) . One can also learn archery and basketball if he/she wishes to . Similarly there are many student run social groups also.
Admission
Firstly , I choose this college because of its environment and premises. It has a peaceful and greeny college campus along with good placement and higher study or research records . Secondly , It was affordable (atleast for me) , the samee scenerios might not be true for all. And last of all , I read about the curriculum and it seemed like an good choice for me.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio is good i.e. near about 1:7 The exam system is a bit tricky because of the concept of surprise tests that has been introduced lately. 60 marks for end semester exams and 40 internal including surprise test. Most of the faculty members are friendly and chill.
