- I like the natural environment of the college. It is surrounded by mountains and state at the bank of dal lake
- Faculty is quite friendly. They are helpful and well qualified.
- Hostel is good because i got a 2seater room. Some of my Batchmate get 5 seater according to availability.
Dislikes
- Mess food of NIT Srinagar is not good enough.
- Usually we have to face protests some time it is about mess food.
- Placement not good for core branches. It is good for CSE , IT and ECE.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and communication has a good future . According to my rank i got the best branch that i want. The Curriculum of ECE prepares us for real world via project. They should improve there teaching methods via advanced technology. The exams held too early. We have completed our mid term examination after 1.5 month starting of college.
Internships Opportunities
Oracle, Airtel and Nexturn offers under internship with stipend 16000 to 70000 . They provide us best work experience. Companies offers work with there live project works. They provide certificate of it.
Placement Experience
Students in 7nth semester are eligible for placement usually. The companies visited to our college are ORACLE, AIRTEL , NEXTURN, MICROSOFT, WIPRO, TATA, RELIANCE etc. Highest package for ECE is 19.20 lpa offered by ORACLE. Avg is 11 lpa. 70-80 % of the eligible students get placed. I will try to get 30+ lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
For first year i have paid 83500 Tuition fees is 0 for obc candidate with parental income less than 1 lack One time registration fee is 6500 . All other fees including lab, Medical, development, library is 21000 for 1 year . For Genral / OBC whose parental income greater than 5lack there is a tuition fee of 62500. And those lie in between 1 to 5 lack have to pay 2/3 of tuition fee. All other fee are compulsory for all. SC and ST have also full fee remission as obc whose parental income is less than 1 lack.
Campus Life
Annual fest is TECHVAGANZA , in which many competition occurs related to tech and non tech as well. We get almost all related books in library. There is a lot of place for reading. The facilities and technological provisions is not good. Sports facilities is good in NIT SRINAGAR. We get football grounds, cricket ground, badminton ground, Bollyball, long tennis, table tennis and Running track as well.
Hostel Facilities
We a 2 seater room, in that we get 1 almirah, 2 table, 2 bed 2 chair. We get also good Wi-Fi and electricity connection with fan and light. Meal quality is average not good. Registration for hostels is easy and affordable.
Admission
I applied for NIT Allahabad, NIT shibpur , NIT Bhopal, NIT SRINAGAR. I got confirmed admission in NIT Srinagar ECE Dept. I choose this because of my rank in JEE. This college gave me best branch according to my rank. We can get NIT Srinagar by giving JEE mains exam. Cuttoff for NIT Srinagar is 95 %tile and above.
Faculty
Faculties are quite friendly to students. We can easily ask anything related to course and other also. They help us . Dr. Nadeem whom i like because his friendly behavior. Nadeem sir , Dr. Jignesh, Dr. M. A. Shah are best faculty according to me. There are 2 exams in 1 semester mid semester (26) and end semester( 50) and 24 are internal.
