Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate it 7 out of 10 interns of relevancy, we are taught c language, web designing and iot which are relevant to us and helpful while also autocad/ inventor is being taught to us for designing and 3d printing. Also inorder to improve course curriculum they could rather include subject after asking what one wants to learn, there are many who wants to do app development but they are being taught web development also they are left with no time to learn it by themself afte 9-5 classes and continuous examination and tests.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are to be found by student themselves, if the company is good they might provide with NOC, many seniors have found good internship and are on noc leave while many werent approved with NOC.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is good, if your are studious and know coding well then you can easily secure between 6-8 LPA, Above that it depends on your hardwork, skills, connections and convincing capabilities. A year before the highest on campus placement was 44 LPA secured by 2 students, while the average stood at 6 LPA. Also there are GDSC (GOOGLE affiliated coding club) and School of AIML (Affiliated to Amazon) which provide chances to best student of their club. Also there is FOSCC which is open source club where the 3rd and 4th year seniors have good internship and abroad job offers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees is 144500 for 1st year students and will reduce by 1000 in second year. Out of which 112099 is tuition fee, 3500 is registration fee, 16000 is career planning and student development fee, 6000 is bookbank fee, 1200 alumina fee and 700 insurance fee. Aktu university charge of 7500 is charged separately during final sem exam. A friend of mine got TFW in Btech CS and has to pay only 38000 for fees.
Campus Life
Campus Life is pretty average, but enjoyable if you find friends you can vibe with and a good club of what you enjoy. There are clubs for fashion, dance, photography, cinema, drama, movie, music, drone technology, car, social help, technical clubs and more. Also there are sports team of kiet for sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton and more in which kiet competes intercollege. Recently they won volleyball competition (maybe runnerups) help in ims college. There are plenty of books in library, the library timings for dayscholar student is 9-5 (can be extended upto 8 with permission from dean and hod) and for hosteller is 9-8. Some feat that are held are EPOQUE which is annual fest of kiet. Spardha for sports and events are organized twice a months by different clubs and hackathons aswell are organized here.
Admission
For the rank of 144k which I got this was the best college I could get which was affordable. Also this was the only best college offering cs related degree from top aktu college which I could get through councelling. Also the past placement data and after talking with seniors I was sure to take this as my college
Faculty
Overall the faculty is good, most the teachers are good and are helpful while some are just strict/ old school to be precise. Since the college has transformed to autonomous since this year alot change has been seen in the syllabus. Also since the answer paper are going to be checked in the college itself there are less chances of blunder and wrong scoring which used to happen during AKTU affiliation. Also the courses has shifted towards more practical then theoretical. Similarly many communication development and skill development programs are running simultaneously. Also a foreign language class including Japanese, Germany, French and Italian is being taught in the campus while English has been made compulsory in the course. There are total of 2 mid sems and 1 final sem. 40 marks is said to be included in final sem scorecard from the mid sem 1 and 2, 20 marks each.
