Likes

I like about the college that its location. It is located in Hilly areas.
One more thing i have liked about the college is its fee structure which is very less as compared to otger colleges.
If you want to study hard then this is best college for you as enviormment is peaceful

Dislikes

Most disliked thing is its infrasture.It is too bad.
Staff is not highly educated. Most of them are hired as contract basis.
Placement in this colleges is closer to zero.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum of the course are too old, in today's generation this curriculim not suits best as I am CSE student and curriculum for that was too old and not proper coding languages had taught there. However difficulty of present curriculum is quite descent.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Broadly speaking this is Govt. College so fees is less, Let us discuss my fee structure. My 1st semester Fee was 28000/- 2nd semester-22000/- After that in Odd semesters fee are 24000/- where as in even semesters fee are 22000/- One Main thing more that for Girls fee are more less they have to pay 10000/- in 1st semesters after that In odd semesters fee are 12000/- and in odd semesters fee are 10000/-. Moreover various scholarships are ptovided in College like Dr. BR Ambedkar Backward scheme etc. I have also claimed one schloarship. Also you will get Rs. 4000/- refunded once the course is over aa it security.

Campus Life

Infrsaturucture of college was ongoing when i am studenr but now it has been improved. However enviornment is peacefula nd enjoyful as it is hilly place. However, I am dissatisfied as i have gkt no placement assistance frlm this college.

Admission

I have chosen this college due to fee. As I wanrt to do engineering and in private colleges I had checked and find there fee too high so i decided to take admission in this college as fee iss less and also this is a government college. If i talk about admission procedure so yku have to take HPTU entarance exam to get into this college and also you can take admission in this college basis on JEE numbers.

Faculty

Faculty is descent in this college as they are not highy qualified. But, yes faculy is helpfull. However if I am talking about marking scheme so totally eight semesters exam are taken and 60 marks paper have taken. Level of exams are descent.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
