Course Curriculum Overview

3

As a commoner I always wanted to work in frontline worker in a community that lead me into healthcare system for it I have wasted 2 years on my preperation to get into a government medical college and apparently ended up in private college but still I was happy to pursue my dream to become doctor and serve a purpose in society. As I joined the course national medical council came up with new curriculum that encouraged more patient interaction and empathy with more practical knowledge so we were thrown into hospital as early clinical exposure but nothing ended well as Covid striked in and ended up being an online batch which ruined everything for us.But since we are the first batch on hand on training experience we were thrown into many experiments from medical counsil in which some had benefited us including training classes which they have compulsively added that gained some clinical knowledge on the other side they made sure to document everything on logbooks which doesn't go well as it made us a dairy maker rather than doctors . My thoughts of becoming doctor had many ups and downs through the years as we study one of the most difficult course with very depressing environment and made me hate the course at a point and when I got my degree that made me feel all is worth it but in the end still I'm not sure why and for what and for whom are we making all these sacrifices for years in a community that doesn't appreciate the efforts the health workers put in.

Internships Opportunities

2

In internship in certain departments we are getting enough opportunities as we are allowed to assist for surgeries and always ends up being doing the last sutures by ourselves and where as in other hand more than an intern we are acting as a clerk were we are just here to type discharge summaries print it and do other paper works on ward that makes us a fool and dumb as we are practicing what we learnt and that is definitely not going to do good on our work as we go out after internship to work as a doctor in other hospitals

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees cost around 80 lakhs with each year cost 16lskhs per year as tuition fee and 1.2lakhs for hostel increases 15% per year and extra fees for exams include 5000 rupees for each year paper and 10000 for final year , scholarship are available each year if income per year is less than 5 lakhs , scholarship amount is 30000 per year and Karnataka quota fee per year is around 2 lakhs NRI was 20 lakhs per year

Campus Life

2

As I start with my campus life I got to socialise more with people around the country that has definitely changed my perspective of life and we got to see well experienced doctors they had a positive impact on our life to lead our life in more to service of people and it also made us sure that this journey as an doctor is going to be tough on the road as it's. All about sacrifices we make to make others happy

Hostel Facilities

3

One of the prime reason of choosing yenepoya medical college as my option is their hostel as they provide free laundry services and also got clean hostel room where akkas comes and clean room in day basis with not so bad food comparatively wjth other colleges with a beautiful ,clean and safe environment and we have bus service from hostel to college and hospital that gives additional points

Admission

This college was on my list since this college provides one of best campus in manglore with best facilities and a good amount of patient flow but I always preferred to study in Kerala government college that makes you walk through all thrones in your life and makes you prepare for the upcoming wars in medical field and gives you best experience by the time you finish your medical college life. Since I score less mark in neet ug exam a competitive exam with around 10 lakhs writing per year maximum marks scored by keralites makes it more difficult for me to get into an government college and apparently our government only provides very less government seat so I preffered an good private institute to continue with my passion

I'm studying in Mbbs degree with whole course duration of five years including one year of internshipand four academic years. Each academic year we got one university exam and three internal exams every exam has one practical and one written exam we should atleast score minimum 50 percentage seperty on both practicals and theory each year to clear an academic year and in the end of internship you have one exit exam basically practical exam in each department you have worked

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
