Is it worth joining VIT Bhopal University

The major aspect which attracted me towards this course is the simplified breakdown according to a student's pace. The course is a perfect blend of Computer science engineering at the basic to intermediate level and Data science from basic to advanced levels.

The students are even exposured to the practical world through various internship programs. The University itself provides Summer Internship to every student and alongside it, provides with several options of paid internships.

The placement in the University this year were fantastic. Will not say outstanding, but was a top notch for a tier 3 college. In 2024, more than 90% students were placed with avg. package of around 7 lacs. 4 students got packages of 50+ lpa in top software companies.

The fee structure of the course is as follows: Category 1- First, Second and Third year-->97000 + 2000caution deposit(first year) Fourth year-->99000 Fifth year-->102200 Category 2- First, Second and Third year-->160000 + 2000 caution deposit(first year) Fourth year-->162000 Fifth year-->165200

Talking about social life, the hostels depicts a perfect image of a diverse India. There is a Student Welfare committee which looks towards the welbeing of the students as well as keeps a record and also resolves an issue faced by any student. The University itself works with the motto of "NO RAGING CAMPUS". The annual fests generally comprises of Ad-vitya (All technical, non-technical and sports events are held during the period of 2 months), Cultural events and lot more. Further, the classrooms in the Academic blocks are well equipped with projectors for better understanding of the topics, and the two-floored Library provides a large variety of books on several topics and subjects.

The hostel accomodation of the campus is also good at the basic levels. The VIT Bhopal campus provides 100% free, all time accessible wi-fi to each and every student. For rooms, they are well-equipped with proper personal wardrobes, beds, study desks, chairs and book shelf. Registration process for hostel accomodation is done on the basis of one's ranking in the selection examination. Accordingly they are provided preferences of room types available and are alloted on the basis of the selection.

My main motive to select this course was that VIT Bhopal University currently only offers a dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Data Science engaged with Computational skills. This course is a perfect pick for those students who loves statistical mathematics and competitive coding.

The VIT Bhopal University has a faculty strength of almost around 2 centuries. The faculty-to-student ratio is also better than most of the top tier 2,3 colleges. The faculties are always approachable and are always reasonable to each and every student. Talking about individual faculties, no faculty in the university serves as a bad omen to teaching profession. The best part about VIT faculty is that their cabin doors afre always open for all, for every doubt and even every complaint. The various levels of the faculties also ensures smooth ongoing of every courses, specializations, student welfare, events and lot others. Moving on to exams, there are basically 2 major examinations held in a semester, namely Mid-sem and End-sem. Mid-sem is of 50 marks with almost half of the syllabus and the End-sem consists full syllabus with marks distribution of 100. Rather than these two, several other tutorials, assignments, group activities and quizes are held to monitor each and every students progress and weekness.
