Course Curriculum Overview

3

I didn't want to study chemistry but I also was not able to study computer sciences because of low grades so I choosed this course. The curriculum was great, but the teaching should be more practical than theoretical. Projector study with pointing with laser was adopted by one of our teachers which was much better than teaching on blackboard. Sometimes, the exam frequency was long, sometimes, there were no gaps.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first two years, it was around 8,000 For the last year, it rose to 10,000 The tuition fee is less. There are many scholarship available such as *SAKSHAM* scholarship. Exam form fee is different and is semester-wise. For every semester, you have to pay from 810 to 1310 (according to practical and theoretical exam)

Campus Life

4

Annual fest was held every year during March/April called Leothrixx. Some festivals such as Dandiya night, were also held. In the year 2024, no annual fest was organised by the college because of some reason. The college was very good on the basis of sports. The rooms were not that good, broken desks, board was too far to see.

Admission

I chose this college according to my high school marks as no entrance was required before the implementation of CUET. I didn't check other colleges as my parents suggested to choose DU as it is one of the great universities. Before 2022, the admission was based on high school marks. After that, it was based on CUET score.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties were great. Some teachers helped even during late night during studies. Some of the faculties were very rude and very strict. Some of the teachers were so rude that even if we are late 1 min to reach their class, they dismissed us. The laboratory staff was average, some were rude, while some were helping. There were a total of 4 subjects at my time. 3 subjects were fixed (Physics, Maths and Electronics). In the first year, we stuided 4th subject as EVS and English (1 subject per semester). After first year, the 4th subject was elective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
