Engineering Course

The college is situated well far from kolkata,that is a plus point as in Kolkata many colleges dont have hostel facilites and the students get involved in wasting time in the markets rather than studying.

The 4 years course comparises of total 8 semesters, and in each semester you will have 5-6 subjects. In the 1st Year syllabus will be same in all other departments, but from 2nd year you will be introduced with your branch related technical papers. Semester Exam will be of 70 marks for each subject.The other 30 marks will be of your attendance as well the marks scored in internal exams(2 internals each sem, of 25 marks each).

INTERNSHIP The college does not provide any paid internship, though it will arrange some of industrial training for you(ME, CE, EE, CHE, PI, AEIE, ICE) branches. For CSE, ECE, IT they will arrange some course in the course itself in which Hyderabad teams will come and teach the course, that too during the summer/winter internship duration(unpaid). PLACEMENT For software branches there is a good chance of getting placed as most of the companies visit are of softwares. For Core branches placement is average or say, below. Chemical branch is the only branch apart from software branches having highest no. of companies coming for recruitment. Few companies came to the college for recruitment in diff. branches were: Wipro, Infosys, Simplex, HPL, ITC, Meghalaya Cement, Burger, Johnsons&Johnsons, Paraxial, Adani Wilmer, etc.

PRAYUKTI RIVIERA PHIRE DEKHA and many more.. These are some of the events celebrated in the college.In prayukti, there are some activities organised in which students from other colleges also participate. Some of the activities can grab upto 1 lakh of prize money and some with other awesome prizes and certificates. RIVIERA is the cultural fest in which Ramp Walk, Band Show, and other activities are done of stage. On the final day of this Riviera, there is some DJ night program along with one of the famous star. In 2017 guest sinher was ASH KING. 2018- Benny Dayal Phire Dekha- It is an alumini meet in which different activities are organised in front of the aluminis of the college. During the no-dues process in final semester, you will have to pay 300? oncs for this phire dekha..

In comparison with other colleges, the fee is not that much expensive. In my time the fee was 37000-40000 each semester. For a private college it is feasible. Though, who have economical problem, they are given different type of scholarships.I have seen some of the students paying 1000 per semester as a TFW student(Tuition Fee Waiver).

There are many scholarship programs for the students, but these are nust government provided. For Bihar it was MOMO, and Bihar Scholarship, for Jharkhand it was state scholarship and for West Bengal it was also the state programme. By college, a 50% fee scholarship is given to the toppers of all the branches.For that you just need to top the semester exams. Few students are extempted fees in the name of Tuition Fee Waiver criteria.

For extracurricular activities you don't need to worry as most of the time you will see these things. Besides the events, sports tournaments like cricket and football, basketball as well are being organised. For labs, each and every lab is well maintained and almost all the lab equipments are provided to the students during the lab session. And yes, here you will have to attend each and every lab, or you will lose your marks.So I thing this is something good.

Yes I had opted for Hostel.There are many hostel inside as well as outside the college campus. In each hostel you will see double bed, triple bed as well as 4-bed room too. All the basic Facilties are given including drinking water and wifi(some hostels). In each hostel there will be a mess for the fooding facility. In my time the hostel fee was ?7200/semester.

Alumni network is very useful, mostly for the branches like CSE, IT ,ECE as I have seen many of the unplaced, got placed in companies because of the preference only. For guidance seniors are helpful too, i.e If you are in 4th year and some of the passout senior are preparing for the exam, then if you be in touch of them then you will surely get benefitted.

Faculty are average, but few are outstanding. They try to give their 100% and during final year projects, some will be a gem for you. Yes, there is a negative fact too, you will be having a problem in understanding their language, as they teach in english with a bengali tone too.
