Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management review

The curriculum consists of balancing both theoretical and practical knowledge of all the subjects needed in the hotel industry. The subjects in the curriculum gives you in-depth knowledge about how the industry The semester consists of 40 classes per subject and there will be an internal exam, a model exam and the final semester exam for both theory and practical subjects.

I did my internship in JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire Resort and Spa, Bangalore I worked In all the 4 departments of the hotel and could gain enough knowledge and experience about the industry. My stipend per month was 2500 rupees per month I had to record my day to day activities in the hotel in a record book and also make my project in the hotel and details from each department.

The campus has an active placement cell. The college starts the placement offerings on 4th year of a student The students get job offers from leading 5 star hotel brands for job offers and internships like Marriott, Hilton , Sheraton, Raddisson and Hyatt. The highest package for a fresher in the industry is 25000 rupees per month The college prides itself in giving 100 % job placements to all the students opting for campus placements. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher studies in the US

The year-wise fees I paid was 70,000 per year Now it has increased to 95000 per year The caution fees , uniform fees and registration fees of 25000 has to be paid in the first year. The hostel fees is 72000 per year. Scholarships are available for the students in need.

The college conducts a lot of cultural events according to the festivities happening. The college prides itself in conducting the Annual Food festival called " The Caters Act" in which students from different colleges and families appear to dine and enjoy. The college conducts a 4 day Sports day programme every year consisting of indoor games, mobile games , team building games and athletics.

I've rented a pg in Balmatta called Rev. Chennappa Uttangi Hostel. I get a double room with attached bathroom. The hostel provides both accommodation as well as other recreational activities like shuttle court, table tennis board, football ground, carrom board etc. The food is balanced meal consisting of both veg and non veg meals per day. The quality of food is better than most hostels and is actually of good quality. The hostel charges for ?115 per day for food. The hostel is very affordable and only costs about 70000 every year. The locality is situated near the town only therefore all your needs are a step away. The hostel has its own sports day and hostel day celebrations.

I chose this college from the other colleges because this college provides an international degree in hotel management of 4 years compared to other colleges with 3 year programmes as well as the degree value from mangalore university is valuable compared to some other degrees. I needed the 4 year course to try to go to the US otherwise I had to pursue a bridge course independently. For the admission process, I had to just talk with the faculty as part of a small unofficial interview. The cutoff marks for this course was 60% in 12th standard. The course required I had to pay 25000 rupees for registration and uniform for the 1st year

The college is filled with well qualified faculties with good industrial experience. They will answer all doubts and also provide you with fair share of their experiences. The night life around the college is really fun as the students gather around the tea stall nearby and have a small gathering. The gym is provided by the college with all the facilities and a discount for college students. The library closes at 5 pm everyday The hostel students have to get in the hostel by 7 pm everyday. There are various Malls and market areas around the college as the college is situated in the city area itself. The locality is safe for both girls and boys to roam around at night
